I also ran around as a really pittiful Kuu, from Digi Charat.... and my friend stole my Tifa (from FF7) costume because she didn't have one....... and my other friend stole my Hakama pants to my kenshin costume.

Heh, I saw you. I sat next to you at the Bakazoku panel. Remember me? I was the one with the amputated cardboard cut-out. And I am proud to say that I was TEH ONLY 1 cosplaying from the video game that I... well, that I was cosplaying from. I was Ari/Ruka from Okage: Shadow King. A few people actually knew who I was, though Stan was often mistaken for a cat or a Heartless, and Shuuichi poked him in the eyes a couple times...

I had to take off the zombie makeup because it turned BLUE. Want to explain how black makeup + white makeup could somehow = blue?

The black was probly actually a very dark blue instead of true black and the white diluted it making it blue.  

Just my theory, check it out under a black light there is a difference between dark blue shirts and true black shirts.  If I remember from years ago.

I would like to have a costume by next year but it takes two things getting it made and the courage to wear it.

Can't wait to see everyone at the next con I had the best time, you all rock.

Saturday I was Haruno Sakura all day; Sunday I was Angel Haku in the morning and Sexy no Jutsu in the afternoon; and Monday I was an original Shinobi that I threw together out of stuff from around my room (I named her Kuroshiki ^_^).  It was pretty much my Narutocon!  ;p

I'm not sure if I can come next year--I might be in Japan.  But I'm definitely wearing Sakura in some form again at Sakuracon (haha), though it might be adult-ANBU-Sakura or possibly...um...kind of a surprise version.  Involving swords.  ^____^

awww....I'm sure we'll all miss you!! =(.  Speaking of Japan, I almost got stationed in Okinawa but then I got kicked out(of the military) a few months later X_X.   Although, it did allow me to visit Kumori con!! ^_^

It takes awhile to adjust.  I`ve been here for a little over two weeks and I think I`m just starting to get the hang of things.  That and I think I`ve figured out how the train system works.  It depends on your level of Japanese.  Some of us in the group were shakey from the start while those who were more advanced were able to pull off some conversations with Japanese students.
But overall, it is really fun.  Definitely do it when you`re in college.

The black was probly actually a very dark blue instead of true black and the white diluted it making it blue.

A lot of cheap black make-up (ie: costume) also uses a blue base, so diluting it with white will, obviously, make it blue-er.

YMMV, but for the future Ben Nye is affordable and excellent.
