woot.
i am going to be dressed up in a kimono and hakama that looks similar to the one worn by rourni kenshin.  I dont think I am going to get a wig or anything.  Maybe ill bring a wooden sword as part of the costume.  
hehehehehehehehehhe

I will be going as Random Bishie #9, Kei Amemiya (Jin-Roh), Temari (Naruto), and hopefully a random kimono chick-if I get the costume done in time-.

Unfortunatly I won't be able to attend as Kusanagi unless I find a shirt similar to hers before con, which I so doubt I can do.

Oh, and my Gaara-chan plushie will be wearing a nice and pretty kimono, which I am pretty sure I can get done in time.  And my Cthulhu will we cosplaying as a Haibane. ^.^

Do to unforseeable circumstances (aka: I ended up having to punch some idiot who grabbed my arm on my evening walk) I have strained my left hand, and will not be able to complete my kimono in time.

My Temari costume is about the only sure thing, besides my Random Bishie #9, that I will be wearing for the Con. ^.^;

Kankuro from Naruto (the one I wore at Fanime). Partially Barry the Chopper from FMA. Possibly partially Scar from FMA.

(I have Barry's armor head and Scar's coat. ^_^)

Frodo: You're gunna be Temari? I must find you at the con! Finding a Gara cosplayer shouldn't be hard. I didn't have a team at Fanime, I was so sad. No one cosplays Temari!

(Oh yeah, HI! I put off going to the forums until 2 weeks before the con. Hoorah.)

Well, seeing how I have little time and money to make a cosplay outfit I shall be going as one of the following:

1. Shinji Ikari from Eva (his school uniform is really easy! you can make his hair plug-suit things by sanding down two halves of a Silly Putty container, then painting it white. Woo.)

2. Largo or Piro from Megatokyo (easy, but only if you have T-shirts like the ones they wear, and lots of hair goop.)

3. Toji from Eva (I actually saw a jogging suit nearly identical to his in a store. Woo. But it cost lots of money. Not woo.)

Now, which one shall I pick?

I'm quite into it now, I even got an Agumon and a Digivice off of Ebay. *is such a dork*

The outfit isn't too difficult, I just have to find two star patches and sew them on... hell, if it comes to it I could always make some out of felt.

Does it make that much difference in cosplay if the shoes are accurate, if you're someone like, say, Shinji, or some other person who dresses regular?

Oh, and what's a good hair product to use for like, gel?

You should be able to find star applique at Joann's or Michael's.  ^^  If not, yes, making them out of felt is a good idea.

As for shoes, I don't think that they have to be absolutely perfect, but don't wear high heels with a character who should wear army boots and vice versa.  :wink:

I can't tell you about gel, though.  Well, I'll say this, I guess.  My brother uses LA Looks, the maximum strength kind, to slick his hair back.  When it's dry, it's a HELMET.  Seriously, you can pound on his head and he'll hardly notice.   :?

Anyway!  I already posted this in the other thread, but I'll be Rydia from Final Fantasy IV, and Tetra and Princess Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker.  ^_^

no not really... baboon naraku is alot easier then finding that dudes kimono and everything... and i cant imagine his wig...

i think its cool that some ones going to go to the con a tai... im going as sheeta from miyazakis castle in the sky, san the wolf girl from princess mononoke, and Nausicaa end of the movie version... never thought of doing digimon... man that woulda been alot easier... i tried to find a teto plushie for my nausicaa costume... no one sells them...

btw howd you do tais goggles? i mean... they look rather difficult to me...

part of the time, i'll be integra....so we should find each other and take a picture. what part of the con will you be in this outfit? i'm chair of fanfic, so whereever there is fanfic programming, there i'll be.

however, part of the time i'll be in other outfits. i have a silkish evening gown from vietnam, a Han-Bok from korea, and i'm working on a tuxedo masks cosplay :)

              i love what i've read of megatokyo. in fact, last year i briefly cosplayed seraphim :) (in fact i kind of left a hansel and gretel trail of white feathers from the fanfic workshop to the video viewing room!)

hm now if i could only find where i put the batwings....i had wanted to cosplay where asmodeus binds seraphim to a chair :)

Ahem, well... (akward pause).  I've decided to go as Largo, so all I need now is a red wig and my very own Boo (with wings, of course.)  that shouldn;t be too hard...

Well, with just a few days left before KumoriCon my cosplay list ends up pretty tiny.  On Saturday I'll be doning a Karasu costume to go with my friend who's cosplaying as Kankuro (From "Naruto".) and then on Sunday I'll be cosplaying as Raito (From the manga "Death Note".) with another friend cosplaying as L.  We're still working on seeing if we can get a Ryuuku in one form or another, though... so here's crossing our fingers towards that.  *chuckles*

I thought about fixing the broken strap on my Zeiram costume and wearing that, but I doubt that anyone would really want to see it and all....

I dunno what to cosplay as. I want to cosplay as Miroku-Hoshi from Inu Yasha.  :twisted:  That would be fun, heeheehee. However I think I'd make a better Shinji.  *sigh*  

Ooh ooh, I could cosplay as a DearS! (AAH THE EYES BURN! A MALE DEARS!!!)

Anyone have suggestions for a last minute getup?  College and anime conventions are very hard to tackle at the same time.

I was Haku from Naruto on sunday... There were a few others there as Haku, so I might not've standed out much, but yeah. I was the one with the darker jacket, it that helps. *grins* I also took a bunch of pictures.

I Didnt get to go to Kumoricon!  :(  :(  But i am trying to convince my parents to let me go to Sakura Con, and if i do, im Going to try and be Jaguar from Space Channel 5(or Some other character) (My best friend went to Kumoricon as Ulala! http://kumori.giapet.net/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=&pos=4) Oh and if everything goes well we may even try and work in a dance  :D

Heh, I saw you. I sat next to you at the Bakazoku panel. Remember me? I was the one with the amputated cardboard cut-out. And I am proud to say that I was TEH ONLY 1 cosplaying from the video game that I... well, that I was cosplaying from. I was Ari/Ruka from Okage: Shadow King. A few people actually knew who I was, though Stan was often mistaken for a cat or a Heartless, and Shuuichi poked him in the eyes a couple times...

Holy mother that Naraky costume was a pain in the butt! I was shedding and the poor mask I made died Sunday when I got home so I couldn't wear the costume again.  I did manage to play DDR in it though if anyone saw the weirdo in white fur playing Dance Dance Revolution.

Is it really cosplay if you dress as random characters in your head that you haven'y really put on paper yet.  Well anyways... Saterday I was the guy in the black cloak carring the triangular staff. Sunday I was the theguy in a black trenchcoat with a european longsword at my side. On Monday I was the guy in a green courduroy jacket with spikes, a jesters cap and my shoulder dragon Draco.

Loved the costumes guys

I was the Black/Dark Magician Girl on Saturday, Sailor Mars Musical Version/Rei in the Inner Miracle Senshi Sunday, and Lorelei (Saber Marionette J) and "nude" Sailormoon Monday!  ^-^ I love causing that contraversy... I also brought the chips and gingerale to the hall/lobby party... Sunday night?  I think it was sunday.. yeah.. 'cause I had my hair up and it was all fluffy monday... ^_^;
