the first ten min of footage I slapped together from the event. thank you Meg for allowing me to film the event. I will make sure you get the full length dvd of all the cool stuff.

and thank you Eric for working with me, you were fun to be around.

and of course thank you to all the wokderfull people that had fun in front of the camera, you guys were great!

I can see it now, too.

I laughed so hard at some parts.

During registration/getting badges, I think the camera tilted towards me for a second or two.
I know I saw them, though.

I will be posting more footage as I edit the raw footage. I think I ended up with about 5 or 6 hours, I havent really tallied the total. but I am pretty sure there is enough good stuff to cut together around 45 to 60 minuets at least. probably more, about half of it is MOS the rest has audio. I will continue to post 10 minute sections as I complete them.

You asked my friend if any anime made him want to take a dump. It was weird you chose to talk to him because he looked like the person who was least likely to be an anime fan there in his football shirt (and he was, he doesn't even know what an otaku is, partly because we won't let anyone tell him)

Anyway it was good so far I can't wait to see the other parts :]

I am ERIC, the guy who was doing a lot of the interviewing (the one with the glasses and beard)

I want to say just how cool everyone was at the con. Everyone had a good sense of humor and was having fun.

Eric, don't forget, you said you would come over and help me edit the HD version of the footage. it looks so good at full resolution! you can smell the BO2 levels eminating from the screen!

I can't wait to see my interview! I was helping run the Sailor Moon Live Action Panel when I went out into the hall and talked to them.

I don't want to ruin the suprise but we talked about Sailor Moon and Pocky Club and it should be awesome.

I hope you guys got the Pocky box back (if that guy was actually with you that is). I was there when some girl pout it on and walked off with it!

Well, we (Robert and I and others) are in charge of the gaming/anime club in Salem (EtherGuild & SUPERBEST) and one thing we like to do is make films. Robert especially is a BIG time film guy. He has all this swanky high tech equipment and stuff so it just comes with the territory.

We were up there because we wanted to document the con for ourselves and also for Meg (con chair) and give them any footage they would want to use for commericals/promotional stuff, etc...

What happened is that once we started interviewing we got all these funny ideas for jokes and it mutated from there.

We plan on showcasing a longer and MUCH better looking (hi-DEF) film at our next LANime party in late October.

Also, in case no one noticed Robert's other thread, here is another video. It has TOM THE FANBOY in it and special effects and other funny stuff.

Wow, you guys did do an awesome job of capturing the 'essence' of Kumoricon 2006. I hope you guys plan to post more footage!

And, I do believe you interviewed my fox friend. Something about an innocent One Piece joke? XD It was quite funny, if not a little confusing.

I wonder, would there be any way for me to save this stuff onto my hard drive or something? This is the kind of thing I would keep to remember the convention!
