Naruto head protectors?

OK so I have asked this question to some people, but they haven't been able to answer it for me. What do the different colors of the head protectors mean? I mean I thought I had it figured out untill Lee came in with his pinkish colored one. Can anybody please tell me?

I suppose it is a matter of choice for the color of the headbands for the ninjas.

As far as I know, different colors don't really mean anything.

Lee just uses a red forehead protector because Gai sensei uses red. As for why Gai uses red, who knows. He's weird.

But there's also the black and blue as well. Maybe just so some people can be different <.<

I'm pretty sure it's meaningless.  I bet for most of the people when they received their headbands they just accepted it the way it was and didn't care about the color.

The only possible thing I can think of would be it shows what you're best capable at (Taijutsu, Genjutsu or Ninjutsu) but after thinking it over, why would you want your enemies to know what you're good at?

I would love it if someone had a Tye-dye headband.  ^_^

Ok thanks for clearing that up ^-^. But dang I would have liked it more if there was a meaning to them, and all that time of trying to figure it out wasn't for nothing lol.
