Okay...Here's something that has had me thinking; where are all the anime fans in Oregon?? (I'm not asking you to tell me where you live).

I'm just wondering why all the anime fans that go to the kumoricon aren't in my area. I find it strange. Is there like a specific area in Oregon where everyone is? I feel so left out since no one in my area (that I know of) goes to the Kumoricon :(

I live in Portland, but around the Parkrose area. I've noticed that there's like nobody here except me, my cousin, a friend and probably her brother that will be going to kumoricon. =\ Everybody seems to be located in salem or beaverton. (or from what i've seen so far)

I'm in downtown Portland and the Lloyd Center district. I know of other otakus in the area (one of them works at the mall's Suncoast), and have friends in the Gladstone area who are into anime or anime-related material (manga, certain video games, etc).

Yeah, I'm from Salem.
There is a TON of us around here.
I'm one of the only one of my friends that goes to Kumoricon though. Most my friends dont cause their parents wont let them, or money, or some other excuse, lol.

I'm from forest grove... despite it's boring appearance, there's a TON of us out here xD
A lot of people from the town are attending k-con (my group consists of 8 people), so there should be a lot of run-ins- which doesn't bother me a bit heheh... can't wait  to see all of you guys~*

I have a few friends on the gresham side who are into anime, most of us are going to be at Kumoricon, too.  ^_^V.  We're around the 200th to 120th blocks.

ah...im in gladstone. And we're a smallish town, so there aren't a lot of anime fans around here. The ones in my school...well....are...me and my friends. XD we're all friends with eachother. We even wore out naruto headbands to school. People think we're weird, but thats okay, because their probably right! ^_^

Lmfao I have a group of 5 girls coming up from Pleasant Hill which is near Eugene. Thats just my group... then there is one more that I think may be going on his own  but I don't know if he preregistered or not. He was kinda well... slow and thought prereg  ended august 30th... i was like wahhaaaa?? no... baka... -.- but yeah there are a few of us from this general area!!!

thing is people around you might be otaku with out you knowing it,i had this friend  back in middle school, we didnt hang out much, be mostly saw each outher because we were best friends with the same guy, well i dont see him for few years the next time i do he's prez of psu anime cl;ub and staff at k-con so you never know till you ask but the problem is people are afraid of asking because as neko pointed out its not somthing really popular and we do get teased, so dont be afraid of advatising what you love

That is a good idea. I should show I like anime in a less obvious way. I'll be drawing way more Naruto fanart in class when I go back to school in September :P

Oh and I did find one person who is somewhat near me who likes anime too! It's a great start! :) But I woiuld love to make even more friends who like anime, and who I could cosplay around and not feel worried from their reactions!

When I lived in Massachusetts, I used to think that only myself and a few of my friends liked Anime, but then I started an Anime club at my school and like 30+ people showed up, and about 10-12 of them became regulars ^^

I'm not in Oregon. I'm in Washington.

And I know several cool Otaku. Nate, Zack, Ben, Jake, Travis (who said he was gonna be Sasuke because I was gonna be Naruto), Justin and a few others. All of whom rock.

Zack and Nate have the biggest freaking anime/manga collection I have ever seen, my GOD. Even more stuff than I have. (but then, I didn't know where to buy Anime stuff until I found the stores around Portland when I was 16. >_>;)

In any event, you get the point.

(Oh, if Zack and Nate are on this forum, I look forward to seeing you guys at the con!)

Where I live there arn't a lot of people that like anime, but i have slowly been  bringing person by person into the light, so there is a descent amount more of people where i live who like it now.
