Ok then, what are forums used for nowadays? Just take a look at the chatterbox in gaiaonline, the topic you are posting in right now, and the general veiws of 'chatrooms' (I know that forums are not chatrooms. They are, however, quite similer in the aspect that it is people talking over the internet.) Why do I call a forum a waste of time? because it essentialy is.Time that I am willingfully flouting and enjoying every minuite of it. (I am not insulting Forums. I am also not insulting chatrooms.)
