So, any fans of this kick-ass manga?  Please say yes.  I'd love to see you guys at the con.  Lets hang and talk or talk here.

Have any idea how it's going to end?  I have a few theories but you first.  Hehehe.

It seems to follow the same idea and theme but a different storyline from what I've seen.  I don't know too much about Maximum though.  I've only seen all of the Trigun anime.

The storyline of trigun maximum actually splits away and follows relatively the same storyline but quite loosely, I can say that most of the villians are still in it, and legato and knives make much more of an appearance, same with wolfwood.  Meryl and Milly actually show up a lot less, antd overall I think the storyline is better.  As far as I can tell there are going to be 13 books, I've looked through them all up until #10 which won't come out in english till at least the end off summer.  I'd say more but I don't want to ruin the storyline

Umm, there seems to be alot of confusion in this thread in regards to the Trigun and Trigun Maximum mangas.

Heres the story.

Trigun was first serialized in Shonen Captain magazine from the series debut in 1995 until the magazine was cancelled in 1997. Following the cancelation of Shonen Captain, Nightow changed publishers to Shonen Gahosha and the series continued to be serialized in Young King Ours magazine. Due to the original publisher retaining the name Trigun, Nightow had to change the title to Trigun Maximum, which isn’t a sequel; just a new name for the rest of the same series.

So, technically, Trigun Maximum just continues the story that started in Trigun. The manga is different from the anime, because around episode seventeen or so of the anime, it had caught up to the manga, and after that, the storyline greatly differs becaus the anime had to come up with an ending.

I heard there would be a Trigun movie in a couple of years, though.

I have the most recent couple of Maximum and would be happy to collect future volumes, if they would come out already.

You heard right. He pops in quite early in the manga, in the first volume of Trigun I believe. That or the second. After that, he joins the crew on their quest to shoot stuff while looking good in the process.

His battle with Gray The Ninelives is insane. Blood, gore and it's much longer.
