Mine was Pong. It cost a quarter, while my grandmother was getting her car washed. It was 1977, right around when Star Wars came out.

Super Mario Brothers.
I remember getting excited when I figured out that the mushroom near the beginning made Mario big.

There were a lot of games in the arcade my dad would let me play but I don't remember any of those. The first computer game I remember playing was Trolls and Tribulations for the Commodore 64. Awesome platform jumping with the Spinners Song for background music.

I'd like to say my first game was on the Atari but the grown ups said I was too little to play that back in the day. Wait, except my uncle Little Jon, the ex con. I think he let me play a couple of rounds of pitfall once. Yeah!

Pitfall was the first game I played!
He kept saying "See you later alligator, I've got places to go and scorpions to jump!"

I may not be old enough to have Pong cred but Pitfall is still pretty respectable.

I can't really remember what the first I played was..though it was most likely Duckhunt or Super Mario Bros.

Ohh Tom, definitely can't forget Pitfall. I loved that game.

Now I remember.  My baby-sitter (I was about 3 or 4) used to let me play with some really old system.  I can't remember any of the names but I remember a flying game and another game with a miner and getting treasure.  I also remember I kept dying near the beginning.

I don't know if I can remember the name of it. It was definitely before we had the first Nintendo system. We had an Atari keyboard that accepted cartridges similar to type to the NES cartridges, and it was a moon rover game. You controlled a craft that rolled across a rocky lunar landscape in low-g, jumped over pitfalls, and avoided and shot at aliens. I don't remember what it was called.

Burger Time on Atari 2600 was the first game I ever played.

Heres a full breakdown of the first game I played on each system I have played. I left certain ones out, though, such as Virtual Boy (That thing hurt my eyes so much).

Atari 2600: Burger Time.

NES: Super Mario Brothers/Duckhunt combo

Gameboy: A Kirby game

SNES: Kirby Superstar

Nintendo 64: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Gameboy Advance: Golden Sun

Gamecube: Resident Evil 4

Nintendo DS: Super Mario 64 DS

Genesis: Sonic The Hedgehog

Game Gear: Sonic The Hedehog

Saturn: Mortal Kombat Trilogy

Dreamcast: Marvel Vs. Capcom

Playstation: Soul Blade

Playstation 2: Final Fantasy X

PSP: Bleach: Heat The Soul

Xbox: Halo

Xbox 360: Need For Speed: Most Wanted

I am not really sure what I will play on PS3 first, but, whatever it is, it should be fun, I know that.

It could be any number of games. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles could be it... Then again, it could just as easily been some crazy racing game on the Intellivision. Or Dragon Warrior 1... Super Mario Bros.

For street cred./classical gaming cred. I'll say it was that racing game on the Intellivision.

For personal reasons I'll say Dragon Warrior 1.

And Zhalfirin, your new nickname is "Spyhunter." So anytime you go into a new room the music will start playing... Just like "Who's The Boss?"

The first game I attempted to play was Pac Man on one of those minature arcade machines. I was too little to move pac man around, but I remember being freaked out by the ghosts.

The first game I actually played was Super Mario Brothers. My brother and I would play it on the display at Wal-Mart while my mom shopped.
You'll be loved, you'll be loved, like you never have known. When memories of me will seem more like bad dreams. Just a series of blurs, like I never occurred. Someday, you will be loved.

Mario Bros was the first, but MegaMan 2 was the first game I beat. Because of that, it holds a special place in my heart. That and MM2 kicks supreme ass in general.

First game ever...
Radar Rat Race for the Commodore64 (Rally-x clone)
On the NES: Tetris
On the SNES: Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
On the PSX: Croc
On the PS2: Gran Turismo 3
On the XBOX: RalliSport Challange
On the Dreamcast: Jet Grind Radio
On the Computer: Commander Keen
On the Gameboy: Tetris
On the DS: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan
On the PSP: Kollon
Those are the only gaming systems I have owned, I could probably list the rest of the consoles and the first game I played on them, but that would only be at a friend's house or a demo unit at a store somewhere

The first game of course, was the TG16's included game. Keith Courage in Alpha Zones. A golden cookie for anyone else who has heard of it, let alone played it. ;)

*thinks back to a long, long time ago*

First arcade game would have to be Mortal Combat. I'd always play as Rayden. *smiles*

When it came to the home console, my first was Super Mario Brothers with Duck Hunt. *get's out the gun and grins* I loved them both and I still do.

With the Playstation it was Star Ocean: The Second Story. *big smile* It is the first video game I own and I bought it a month before getting my PS1. I've had it for about 9 years, and I still haven't beaten it. *sweatdrops and mumbles* Stupid final boss.

My first game on the PS2 was Final Fantasy X. *shakes her head and chuckles* I'm just a big fan of that game series.

On the computer it's Tetris. *shakes fist* That annoying game is so addicting. It was on a computer that used no mouse. It was our family's first computer.

Before my parents ever got the original Nintendo system, we had a Commodore 64.

My first game that I remember playing was "Alf in the Color Caves".  I was like 3 years old.

I found a website that has a little screen cap of it.
