no final fantasy 11 the online mmo its a great game i personally play it so does mushoku thejew and a few others!

Ive thought about it, Im a bit of an MMO conosure(sp?) played runescape, ragnorok, threshold, numerous other gmuds, Guild Wars, and Now WoW. I think Im done with MMOs for a while though. however if I do decide to pick it up, is FFXI based on diff servers or is it one huge community? If the servers which server should I start on?

Wolf what is with these titles? It's just so strange to me to start a question in the title and finish it like that in the post. Just ask the ENTIRE question in the title, it makes it much more efficient.

I have played this game once, I like being able to use the keyboard to play the game on playstation so that was nice, I also really liked running around and sitting on people, like I would sit in front of them like they were a sofa ^^

But I haven't played the game for more than like an hour so I don't know anything about the gameplay unfortunately

You need a USB keyboard unless you really feel like using the software one that comes built into the game. the headset is not functional for PS2 and PC for what I know, 360 does however use the headset and other stuff I believe....but yeah it's a fun game aslong as you have some good people to hang with while playing.

Monthy Fee is like 12.99 for First Char and 1.00 for each extra. Unlike other MMOs you do not really need alts as you can play all classes on the same char.

Waffles and The Jew- If you have some startup cash I am willing to switch servers. =^.^= 2 mill gil would be nice to get me going.... and a world pass. Though it would be rough to give up my 60 Rng 33 nin 33 blm 32 whm but I would really like to play with people in the area. As it is now I swear that I am the ONLY person in PST timezone on Asura.

dude i have like 12k on me atm anywho its a great game and loads of fun. as for using the soft keyboard if you don't wanna buy a keyboard its annoying to master but i did for a while.

Having never played FFXI but having looked into it a little, I would say...

Go with what best suits you. Is there a race that does one thing you really want to do or a skill you want but all the other races can't do it? Do you want to mainly do magic or be in the middle of battles?

Just ask yourself those kinds of questions.

Well I dont' think you could use the Airship very well, and hte World Pass from your server isn't going to help you get onto Garuda... *cough*noob*cough*

dude..... I have been playing this game since the beta. YOU CAN'T RIDE THE AIRSHIP TO A NEW SERVER. You have to remake the character and use that world pass during the character creation....There has only been one occassion where you can change a character to a different server that I know of, and that was merely because of server over population.

Ok lets put it like this so that everyone who ever reads this understands. The world of 11 is called vandiel. By using a airship you can travel across that world to travel to places like jueno sandoria bastok and windurst. you need to be rank 5 to get a airship pass or well spend 500k. every person in final fantasy 11 is playing in vandiel but are in different servers. Myself, mushoku, and thejew are all in garuda. to switch servers you use a world pass, to get a world pass to well lets say garuda you would kindly ask mushoku thejew or myself to purchase one for you. Then when your in your own character creation mode you put the numbers in that we give you. this will make it so that the server you go to is Garuda or which ever place the world pass was bought in. Thier has been only a few instances where they let people randomly change servers, that would be the the instance mushoku was talking about and for the xbox 360 users who were on a beta server which is now dying so they are allowed to join the real servers. I hope this helps out anybody who is confused, if you ever need help in the game wolf ask mushoku thejew and I were glad to help out new players *cough* NOOB *cough*

That's correct, no way you can get to another server with your character unless Square Enix decides to do another Server hop again, but I doubt they will.
