I don't think they weren't making nice so much as just agreeing that they don't have a mutual interest in each other. And thats cool. But dude, seriously, you did not have that scenario in your shop, that's just too wicked awesome for reality.

And yes I had the scenario in my shop, lucky only two of the groups were hear at the same time. I work with any one in town who needs leather fixed, anyone! (I KNOW one person on the forum is reading this and their mind is going in fast gear now!) I get some freaky, funky, funny stuff come in but mostly it’s mundane.

And is that fun? I went to HS in a town in eastern Oregon with 1111 people and it sucked. Any sense of original thought was looked down upon. Yet the kids who were from there endlessly mimicked anything that on MTV (note to kids in my HS dressing like Adam Ant was not cool it was retarded, there are fools and then the foolish who follow them)). The whole town was so stuck on it's self and if you were not born there you did not belong. This was a town ware it was Ok to bring a rifle to school in the fall but bringing an Album (on Vinyl) by Iron Maiden to the dance was a scandal. I spent most of my time with the same 4 guys who had also moved in from bigger cities. And DAMN IT I find out 20 years later there were chicks that wanted to play D&D with us but were to scare of being called weird.

I use to agree with you vondan when i first moved up here from los angeles but after 4 years this place has grown on me and since now it like the 5th fastest growing city in america its not that bad either the reason why i personally want to get out of bend is the fact that i enjoy a town with a very active night time i am a night person who dosent do anything hehe... as for your problems with your town whatever sucks for you i hang with a group of around 5 people whor are my best friends in a group of 30ish. most of the people know me at this school because of how I act mostly because i make people laugh. anywho atm i am sitting in a rolley chair at school because i have a open d block and i would go home but i need to go to lacrosse after school.

Strange story. I like to do posting style rpgs online and this one friend of mine I rp-ed with for over a year finally told me where he lived. This was when I was in Rainer, and came to find out he'd lived in Longview the whole time too....weird. So we met, and I'd like to bring him to the con this year but since I'm 21 and he's 17 and his mom probably wouldn't go for him hanging out with a 21 year old for a whole weekend alone in a hotel (which would be perfectly innocent at an anime con for me!! Boise, Idaho in my shool's computer lab. I'm supposed to be typing in a stupid keyboarding program, but it's dead so I get to slack off for a bit. ~sighs~ i just wish it'd start working. >< I wanna work for once!!

But yeah. I'm refusing to fly, so I'm gonna drive over with my friend and his older bro. I might even bring some other friends, but my cosplay group has shrunk alot. ;_; So sad. Driving seems to be a better idea, especially if I get my car fixed so my friend can drive it over for us because it gets such good gas milage...OR if anybody lives in my area they can help out....Hint hint.

Howdy, I live in Creswell, Home of former Duck now Cleveland Cavalier Luke Jackson. I am writing this at work, in the Central Power Station at the UO. Keeping the co-eds cool today.

I was born in Eugene, but Oregon City is my home town. More to do there at night than there is here, trust me on that! Or at least there was before I moved here.

Looking forward to going up north, and not visiting family! :wink: Dad lives in West Linn, mom in Hood River.
