My name is Alicia but I go by the nickname Leashy. I moved to Vancouver this summer after living in Massachusetts for the entire 20 years of my life. It's been kinda hard because I don't have many friends here and the friends that I do have aren't that big into anime sooo.. I greatly look forward to the chance of meeting all of you!

I figured that since Portland is so big and busy that it was sure to have an animecon, and I am soo excited that I was correct

. Guys I have never had the chance to go to a convention, no one ever wants to go with me =(

Soooo yeah feel free to instant message me or whatever, I am totally up for meeting new friends!

The thing I like about animecons is that pretty much everyone is accepting of everyone, just start talking to people and you can make all kinds of friends. Glad to have you on the boards and coming to the con.

Heya! My first con was Kumoricon '05 and I went by myself, but I met some really nice people there as well (and my now girlfriend). Also! If you have the money to go to multiple cons, there's a convention up in Seattle in March (24-26th).

Yes, thank you I did know about Sakura con (that is what is is called, right?) I think I will go to that next year because I am weird about having things planned out ahead of time.

I don't think I will do well if I go to the con by myself, maybe I will bring my boyfriend's friend. Now the big questions.. Should I cosplay? I have always wanted to haha

Kumoricon 05 was my first Anime con and it was soooo awesome. :3 From the horror stories I've heard from other con's staff and lines and everything, Kumoricon sounded like a peice of heaven (and was.)
There's ALOT of stuff going on. n_n Make sure to drop by the Pocky Club panel for some fun.

Do I get a power rangers like outfit for that (oh and get to meet the pink galaxy ranger she was nerdy with glasses). When ever my nerd sense goes off and I feel the presence of a nerdy lady who never got to go on dates in HS because she was busy reading books at home I should run into the bathroom and change into my uniform.

It's my responsibility after all to take care of the nerdy girls tween 30 and 40. I know a lot of the younger guys must be lax in there duties as I have seen three young ladies who post on both Kumoricon Board and Cosplay Lab have been looking for a boyfriend on internet personal sites (ware I only look for the entertainment value and the ladies over 30 never mention nerdy hobbies). I’m not going to say who, you young guys just have to treat ever cosplay girl you know like a princess.

Alright. Goggle Squad is not evil, nor is the pocky club. so stop lieing. Its stupid. Von WE ARE THE GOGGLE SQUAD, and I remember this coming up before where you have mentioned that you have been wearing Goggles Long before us, and guess what... NO ONE CARES. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but its time to get over it. WE are not Pale imitations, and I don't think we could be an imitation for the fact that we never heard of you till a few months ago, and after you told us you've been wearing googles long before us, and after We were called "THE GOGGLE SQUAD," at kumoricon 05.
So this is how it goes.
We're younger, and we're fresh. We have no definete style we just have te Goggles and we love them, and you are the only person who've I've heard that has braugh tthis subject up.

Save the goggles for 20 years from now?

I kind of planned on wearing them at the next con which is only about 6 months away. It doesn't really make sense to deny our rights or even consider us inferior to the "original". It has always been possible that two of the same ideas can be created by different people.

Psh. K-Con 2k4 it was all about the T-Shirt Ninjas and the original sign crew. I miss those days ;_; New generation of posers came onto the scene after the year my buddies and I did the T-Shirt Ninja thing and it wasn't the same... It was REALLY lame without Bishi Catboy Ninja/Zhalfirin doing it most of the time.

If you can't tell, I was one of the three T-Shirt Ninjas, I was the "White T-Shirt Ninja." Good good times.

Hey, I used to live in Vancouver as well. I moved to Seattle just last year. Are you going to school in Vancouver? Clark College has an Anime club, they show anime every Saturday I think. It would be great to get with the club and go to conventions as a huge group, it would be a lot of fun! PCC also has a great Anime club, you have many options. Well, I hope you have fun either way!
