Is the Liva Action Roleplay going to be at Kumoricon this year as well? If it is I so want to be in it. I was left out last year :cry: because my sister and her boyfriend 'couldn't' find me. I was in the game room the whole day where else would I have been. OK..that was off topic. But please say it's going to be here this year?

Me too, I thought it was a blast. And the rock/paper/scissor thing keeps things moving and keeps people's egos in check otherwise you'd have conflicts like:

LARPER 1: My fangs are bigger than your fangs, so I kill your friend
LARPER 2: No way, mine are bigger than yours and I have an uzi
LARPER 1: Well I am bulletproof and I carry a sword as big as Cloud's so I'm going to cut off your head
LARPER 2: You can't because I've just dimensional shifted above you and am dropping a house on your head.
LARPER 1: While you're doing that I summoned my Blue Eyes White Dragon and he's already killed you

And it goes on and on... gotta love the power gamers

I'm a role Play grognard. Why role play as the vampires your suposed to role ply as the heros who destroy the vampires and then collect the gold and save the princess

Hehe, I just thought of an example of someone bad at it:
L1: Ha! I'm really Superman.
L2: Then I use krytonite to weaken you.
L1: Then I fly away and put out the Sun to hide in the darkness.
L2: ...
L1: Yes, gotcha!
L2: No, you just killed everyone on the planet, including the princess.

As head of RPGs this time around, let me address this one...

YES! It will be back! All details are still being worked on, but the current idea for the "plot" (and that is a LOOSE definition indeed) involves the fact that good won the battle but lost the war last year, and evil reigns supreme at this year's con, with the purple DDR funk lord of darkness Boldo at the helm. Will there be freedom fighters? Will the evil be overcome by a ragtag band of misfits who would never hang out with each other on a daily basis? We'll have to see...

@ Vondan

Got a problem with vampire larpers? *is a former one* And there is nothing wrong with "playing the bad guys" once in awhile. If there was, the game makers wouldn't make rules for playing bad guys, now would they? Though no, we won't be using jan-ken-pon for challenges, and I agree, the psychos who convince themselves it's real should just be locked away.

Yay larp! But it was definitely the power gamers that ruined it for everyone else. One guy I gamed with actually called the guy running it at 4 in the morning and started screaming about how he'd figured out how to bring down the city heierarchy. I wasn't sure if the player or the character would be killed faster for that offense.
