A-Kon 30

For over a decade now, I've been wanting to attend A-Kon, which is located in Dallas.  While I think this year may be the first legit shot I have at being able to go financially, I do have to take into consideration that my son will still be in school during that time.  (The school year actually ends the following Friday).  It looks like if I were to register us now and until mid-December, it'd be $90 total.

So the entire reason why I'm making this post (other than because I want to see these forums being more active) is that I'd like to see if anyone here has gone to A-Kon before and any pros & cons they may have.
