Weapons policy question
« on: August 24, 2015, 06:48:43 pm »
This might be kind of a weird question.  I'm planning to do a cosplay that involves a shovel as a prop, but am not sure what kind of/if a shovel would be allowed in con space per the weapons policy.  Can anyone advise me on whether this prop would be permissible or not?  Thanks!

if the head is made out of metal , i would not think it would be allowed.

Oh, I had a shovel as a prop last year! It was ok--but the end was made of plastic. It's a little kid sized shovel.

You wouldn't happen to be going as an Animal Crossing character would you?

Yea it'd help to know what specific kind you are bringing. If it's real, I highly doubt it. If I had the time I'd make you one (I have a spare dowel and tons of cardboard laying around, but no time). If it's anything other than metal for the head, it would be fine.
