Kumoricon 2006 Elected Officials
« on: October 09, 2005, 09:20:24 pm »
With the elections of Kumoricon 2006 staff, the newest year at Kumoricon had now offically started. The staff is as follows:

Convention Chair
Meg Uhde/Imari
chair@kumoricon.com

Director of Operations
Ryan Stasel/Staze
operations@kumoricon.com

Director of Publicity
Zac Goodwin/Black_Night84
publicity@kumoricon.com
***edit: Zac had to stand down, due to life overhaul.***

Director of Publicity is now Kri Bartholomew, at the above address.

Director of Programming
Brenda McFadden/nyco27
programming@kumoricon.com

Director of Relations
Brian Hammond/CStrife
relations@kumoricon.com

Please welcome your elected staff with great enthusiasm. You can reach elected officials at the addresses and forum usernames above.

This year will see a lot of growth for Kumoricon. Things to look for as we move through the year include a whole new look to the website, more volunteer opportunities, and more visibility in Portland and out. If you are interested in helping the con meet its fullest potential, appointed positions are still available and volunteers are always welcome.

Please join us at the next meeting (TBA) to speak with the proper staff member in person, and join in the fun! And as always, keep posting.

Can we get pictures, mugshots perhaps?
A lot of people could not come to the meeting and it's important that if you are face-to-face with an important staff member you know who you're talking to so you can give them proper input/not make an ass of yourself.

You do realise it's possible to give them proper input, ans still make an ass out of one's self ^_~

Granted, I have no experience at this....

I think it's a good idea. I mentioned it to the chair once in passing when discussing the site. We'll see if Meg and Zac like it and if we can implement it.

This was a definate idea for the con program book, but we could certainly do it for the site as well.

Just need to get the pictures.

Don't worry, I don't plan on letting anyone down. I want to break records again this year.

Also a good way to make sure that we don't let you down is to join publicity....

PM or e-mail me = )

off the top of head  for new people who went to this year, evil monky was the guy with blue who host the rawmen fire bowl attack time event, and imari was at the charity auction, where i bought my cool tenchi muyo sasami wall scroll
i'd be interseted in publisity tho what i do is if any one near me metions liking anime i tell them about kumoricon that they should go and its lots of fun (my friends are use to it by now)

The "when" is at the top of every page, September 2nd-4th. The "where" isn't completely decided, I don't think.

it is decided, but unannounceable at this time since we have not yet signed the contract.  that should happen any day now.  *looks at EvilMonkey*.

We should have that info posted, along with registration up within the next 2 weeks, max.
