Finding voice actors guests we can afford to bring to portland might be a bit of a strain. Myabe if you ask the stuidos to sponsor guests' expencses it will get you more possibilities?
I have a few ideas for people I'dlike to see at future Kumoricons:
1.Crispin Freeman. Especially if Veronica Taylor is also coming. I once utterly, totally shocked the clerk at a local game crazy when i told her the actress who did the voice of Amelia (Slayers) also did the voice of Ash Ketchum (Pokemon) I hope she gets good royalties for all those Pokemon rerunsa.... Crispin would be way-cool; he's played so many cool characters from Zelgadis to Arucard.
2. Wheoever does the English, Southern-litled voice of Osaka-chan in Azumanga Daioh. Not only is she extremely funny, but she makes it sound complketely natrual and effortless. Problem is she does most of her work for ADV Films which is in textas, but if ADV can pay part of the bill it's entirely possible.
3. there was a sotry in the paper a while back about the actress who played lLady jaye in GI joe continuing to work out a st\udio in Portland. I don't knwo fi she's done any anime work, but she knows the VA craft like the back of her hand and would be a great person to tell people what it's really like behind the mike.
Finally, I have longed for a convention (maybe not this one, at leats not yet) that celebrates anuimation whatever its origins. Wouldn;t it be cool to have Ron Perlman or Kevin Conroy over here to talk voice acting? (For those who don;t keep up with Ameritoons at all, Perlans in the teen Tttans' blolod-chilling enemsis Slade, and Kevin Conroy is the qunitessnetial Batman.)
