Mochitsuki festival 1/27/13

HEY!!! Cosplayers.. I have something that is coming up that should be fun. It is the Mochitsuki festival it is taking place at the Scottish Rite Center in Portland on Sunday, January 27. Kumoricon is having a booth and cat ear making table... Swing by to say hi.

Is this their first time holding it there? Speaking personally, having it at the Scottish Rite building makes it that much more exciting.

No. The event has been held at that place both in 2011 and last year.

I know what you mean, when I used to go they had the ticketed event there where they had seating and then the festival and food tables were in the other building (which was free to get in but had a suggested donation).  Now I guess they have it all inside and ticket is for it all.  I wonder if not enough people were donating for the festival portion

No. The event has been held at that place both in 2011 and last year.
And I never knew?...or never thought to look.
Anyway, I've seen my share of other happenings in the building so I can easily be kind of a guide.
Myself being both a Mason and a cosplayer...I can't find a reason to not be there.

It is a ticketed event now. I do not know the schedule for this year but last year they had a walk on cosplay contest.
