I started a thread like this last year and it was moderately popular, so why not make one for this year as well?

Basically share what cosplays you were surprised to see at Kcon 2012 this year.

For me it had to be the two people I saw cosplaying KUROKO NO BASKET. omg you guys totally made my day for me when I saw you guys on day two. forever happy.

I saw a really cute Utena cosplayer! I was cosplaying from a show with the same director so we chatted about that really briefly.

There was also a couple cosplaying as Takanashi and Poplar from WORKING so that made me happy since it's one of my favorite shows of all time~

ADAM FREAKING JENSEN. My best friend had forced me to play Deus Ex right before the con and we were like "What if there was a Jensen cosplayer this year?" and then there he was. Perfect. We kind of sort of accidentally freaked out every time we saw him and I think we scared the poor guy XD So if you're reading this perfectly amazing Jensen cosplaying staff member who was totally being security but we didn't make that connection until like a day after we first saw you, we are so sorry xD We know you never asked for this [eheheh] but you were literally the highlight of our con so thank you.

Jio Freed and Cross Biancina From the Manga "666 Satan" Or also called "O-Part Hunters" Q A Q (SO HAPPY!!!)
They really made my day! I was just so happy to see someone do this On Day 3 of Con! Or just in my life time! = U =
Even more then that, I was about to hug them which made today more awesome!!! Also to see a Male Blair with Female Blair from "SOUL EATER"!

there was a cat bus picture that was featured on Cosplay in America's facebook page. ^_^

I was quite surprised to see both a Leeron (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) cosplayer and a Manji (Blade of the Immortal) cosplayer! I always see Simons, Kaminas, Yokos, Nias, Virals, but never a Leeron! And I had no idea that anyone besides me even read Blade of the Immortal, hahaha!

Muto Ashirogi(Akito Takagi and Moritaka Mashiro) from Bakuman.

Holy crap I felt like I was meeting a celebrity when I saw them when I was getting off the elevators and I nearly died when they sat on the barstools next to me at Starbucks briefly. xD I died a little bit inside whenever I saw them because Bakuman's seriously so amazing and I LOVE Saiko and Shujin so much!!!
I got a picture of them, talked to them a bit and asked Mashiro if he'd gotten married yet. xD Unfortunately he didn't.

*dies* I was such a fangirly Death the Kid around them.

I like, was more excited to SEE them than I was hugging Sonny Strait. xD LOL

Those two seriously made my whole con experience so much more awesome. (Them and Black*Star's hugs. xD)

I never thought I'd see a cosplayer from the Bleach Bount Arc with all of the negative comments for that filler, but this year I saw a Noba! Personally I really like that part of Bleach and I didn't think anyone would bother to cosplay any of the characters, but I got excited when I found another fan.~

@fluffpuffgerbil were you the death the kid that was going nuts over my Kefka cosplay? There was one that pulled off death the kid really well that was going nuts and if I remember right even got a hug from me.

I got so many hugs ^^ I'm really glad the makeup didn't come off on anyone... I wanted to keep all that yummy makeup to myself. :3

(Yes, it smells and tastes good to me, plus is made out of all natural ingredients that you probably could eat)

I don't think that was me, since Kefka doesn't sound or look familiar to me. (the picture of him/her in your siggy or the ones on google)

Uh, I know I at least tried to stay in character as much as possible. I was being verbally abused by the Mad Hatter cosplayer(tall guy, checkered coat) for 5 minutes and I was in character the whole time... on the ground... calling myself trash.

I had a Patty with me all 4 days of con, and a Liz for a short time on day 1 and day 2.

^ All these cosplays I saw and agree with. Especially STRIKE EFFING WITCHES dude! So kickass.

I saw Makoto (fox girl) from Kanon. Had to take a picture. Very cute Apparently I was the only one to call it out that day. You ungrateful bastards...
Saw a couple Baka Test cosplayers as well on the last day I think. I saw some last year as well but I thought they went extinct after looking around on the second day.
Merry from Yumekui Merry. I saw her a lot since she wore it all three days. I hope a lot of people got the reference ~_~ I thought it was pretty good.
MC, Akihiko and Junpei from Persona 3. Also saw Chie from Persona 4, and I asked her a word that started with F. Let's just say I got satisfactory results, and that all our futile existences have no meaning.
A good amount of Mirai Nikki cosplayers, even the detective/Minene couple, and even Third, whose existence is literally forgotten after the first episode. That was pretty kickass. Even got to make acquaintances with a Yuno/Yukiteru couple.
I cosplayed as Angel Beats and was surprised to see a Naoe. I saw a Yurippe last year but there was a different one this year. Also saw the Otonashi/Tenshi couple from Sakuracon again. Aw yeah. I was crying a bit inside when a couple girls this year asked if I was Light Yagami from Death Note...
Although Gurren Lagann isn't rare, it was pretty awesome to see a good Kittan in a group. I think I saw Leeron as well, another rare character to see. Also had to snag a picture of a really cute 10 year-old(?) in a Nia cosplay.
And a final note to everyone: I LOVE YOU OBSCURE COSPLAYERS. Seriously. I went as Emiya Kiritsugu from fate/zero and only two guys got the reference without me telling them. Not even a Saber knew who I was, who happens to be my servant in the series (same universe as well), LOL. Just a little sad. I was really sick of all the Homestuck cosplay this year. I don't wanna diss the series but... LASDJFLAKJGZLJGKDLJAWEFIJASGD

I'll likely be staffing (again, surprisingly I was never needed *cries*) next year as a character from Angel Beats! and Emiya Kiritsugu from Fate/Zero. The two guys who got my costume might cosplay from the fate (series) as well, so I hope they get on these forums to check it out. Maybe I'll go as Kirito (Sword Art Online) just for this convention next year. I expect that series to blow up by the time Sakuracon/Anime Expo hit next year, which I'll both be attending. Unfortunately that means way too many other Kiritos to compete against. Wait, I don't even like Sword Art Online as much as I thought I would... blargh. Choices. So much cosplay to go for.

I think I need to find someone to partner up with x_x err, currently taking offers for [obscure] cosplay partnering...? Goddammit, I love School Rumble! I saw one Eri at Anime Expo. I was impressed to know people still cosplay from that series. It's so good!
