So I didn't find a thread for this, so here goes.
I was wondering how many ppl here are college age? Also was wondering if, since it's currently winter break, we wanted to all meet up and do something awesome?
Just an idea....

Well, what do you define as college age? I'm in college, but am 29. There are students at my college as young as 16, and as old as (that I know personally) the 40's.

So, with that out of the way, I would be up for this, but since this December is going to be a hectic one, I'd like to recommend that we do this during the first week of January, preferably between Tuesday and Thursday.

I am also in college and relatively of "college age" - I am 27. I'd totally be up for doing something, though I wouldn't be available until after the new year. Keep me informed of what you have in mind!

well i'm 23, so it's cool. just moved here and thought it would be cool to meet people my age(ish). and yeah, december is super crazy for me too. i was thinking the first week of jan... i don't get my work schedule for jan until next week, so i'm not sure what days i have off yet, but i'll keep tues-thurs in mind. as for what we could do, i'm drawing a blank there, like i said, just moved here... so i'd b open to suggestions. i will keep my eyes out for something cool tho.

note: as far as age goes, i just meant above highschool, so over 18?

What about doing something as simple as just going out for sushi/ramen, ice skating, or something of the sort?

Especially since that could be done in the evenings when most people are out of class/off work, and won't take TOO incredibly long, but could still be fun. And delicious.

Anywho, yeah, sushi sounds good. Can never have too much of that (unless the fish is caught in the San Francisco bay...). We would have to find a time that works for everyone. Also, does everyone like sushi? I don't want to exclude anyone here.

Well, if we were to meet during the first week of January, any day works for me. For Chan, though, only Tuesday-Thursday would work.

ok, first week in jan is good for me. don't know my work schedule yet for sure, but during the week i work til 7 every night but friday. i'll look tomarrow to see if the schedule for the new year is out yet. if not, i don't get back from cali til the 25th, so i wont b able to let anyone know til at least tuesday.
so it sounds like everyone likes sushi. what part of portland is everyone coming from. i want to make it as convenient as possible. i'm coming from tigard

I'm one of the older "collage age" people 28.
Though I'd like to get sushi and hang out! Really any day/time works for me.
I'd bring my roomie along to (he's 19).
We're both coming from Beverton, but I have a car so really meeting anywhere works for me.

Director's Park is in downtown Portland, very close to Pioneer Courthouse Square and the Hilton that hosted KCon '09 & '10.

A few, to my knowledge...

I know that the Sailor Moon shoot was there because my fiancee was there, and told me a "funny" story that kind of upset me, not (entirely) as her fiancee, but (primarily) as a staffer. Oh, well; what's done is done...

If you'd be willing cuuuuuuuuuz I dun drive. And my boyfriends car can barely make it to dollars corner out in battleground lol let alone my house which is close to 205

Well, chances are Chan would be driving, then we'd MAX it. It could be possible that public transit would be all we'd rely on. The best thing to do would be to talk with her about it.

Red/Blue line Library stop is right next to Director Park, easy to get to. Also if this happens on Tuesday I won't make it until 5:45-5:50, by which time it'll probably be over as I have work. Oh well.

I dun think ima be able to make it at all. Im now fighting the supension of my financial aid. Again. Theyve done this twice now, even though ive met the probation requirements and i have a 2.1 gpa. I think they have it out for me.

sorry i havent been on much the last couple days, been visiting the 'rents and they have no net. if we wanna do a weekday it'd have to be after 8pm because i have work. my days off are the weekends, so saturday or sunday work for me. sounds like we're all cool with sushi, which is good, and that we want to make it an afternoon thing? (judging by the park recommendation)

Personally, I'd love for it to be on either a saturday or sunday before 4 or 5 in the afternoon. Mainly cuz I can't make after 8 in the evenings.

For Japanese food, do you know any good restaurants?
