ok so um u all know about the 2012 thing the end of the world
i kind of want to throw a party on that date will anyone help me

I'm game to celebrate the end of the world (12/21/2012 - it's the solstice

. The rapture thing was a joke. I remember we went for a hike that day, and we were saying the mountain would come crumbling down on us. Just like Y2K, nothing happened

~~I think the 2036 is the Linux equivalent to Y2K?~~ (Just looked it up, and that's January 19 2038... not sure what the 2036 thing is...) Either way, I'm in for a party! Though, keep in mind, you're approaching Christmas with that one. :3

It's kind of a funny idea, but I'm not sure I'd go to such a party. It seems a little depressing to me, celebrating the "end of the world".
Not that I believe that the world is going to end. I believe just the opposite, that the world will continue on, and human life will not end in 2012, or 2013, or even 2050. But that's just me.

A friend and I were discussing this, and we totally think an apocalypse-themed costume party is necessary on 12/20/2012, the night before the 21st. People dressing up as the horsemen of the apocalypse, zombies, Mayans, Mother Shipton, Nostradamus, anything the History Channel likes to pretend is related to the 2012 end of the world bidnezz. Decorate with meteorites and have a tv screen playing some image of the sun exploding. Have somebody dressed as Satan making drinks. Then take a break on the 21st, and when the world doesn't end by the 22nd the party shall start anew.
