...I would say that Apple Jack would be just a simple country girl (or boy) with long blonde hair and a thing for apples, perhaps the "cutie mark" being on the abdomen of their denim suspenders.

Well what's the key of Applejack is her very element of harmony, loyalty. As well, what is so very loathed of Applejack (or at least by Rarity) is her complete lack of fashion sense. She wears what's practical, something she can get dirty, something that can become work clothes at the drop of a hat. She's loyal to her friends and family, and thus loyal to the job that keeps them getting by.

I'm pretty much making a fur suit without the actual body and the head. Those are gonna be clothing and my actual head/face. But maybe next year (2013) I'll actually make a full suit for him ^^ Since I'd already have the limbs it wouldn't be too hard (the hardest part will be to see...)

Also, I'm looking for volunteers to be my balencers. I wont be able to stand still on these stilts without holding onto something, making posing for pictures hard. I assume my friends will stay with me, but I'd love some ponies that I could hold onto their heads to stay up ^^

Hahaha, I'd offer, but I don't think Soarin' and Discord ever interact. Come to think of it, Soarin' doesn't really interact with anyone except pie. XD

Interesting.

I know the way that I was planning on doing it was a brown shirt and brown pants, then wearing some sort of gloves or something, designed to look like the lion & eagle arms and dragon & horse legs (or whatever they are). And I'd wear a wig with the deer & ram horns.

I got a new sewing machine for Christmas (a Brother, it's sooooo nice!!). So today I went to JoAnna's and got 3 yards of pink fabric to whip up my Pinkie Pie dress. (=
I'm gonna get my wig soon, as well as ears from YayaHan and a white cap sleeve shirt to go under the jumper. (=

Yeah! Bought the fabric to make Soarin's aviator jacket today. I found some really good blue vinyl for the outside and this fluffy rust fabric for the lining. Also with some surveying, I decided I'm going to make the zippers and belt buckle for him be in the style of his cutie mark. At this point, I'm pondering whether to use goggles I already have (They're silver, so not exactly accurate.) or to make new ones from scratch.

My best friend has chosen Discord as her pony-related costume this year and she has commissioned a Discord head from one of our other pals.
