It's happening. Don't fight it.
So I pretty much have built a core group, though some I am almost sure will flake (*cough* our Rarity *cough*)
But I will be attending next Kumoricon as Pinkie Pie

I have recruited people saying they will be
Dash, AJ, Fluttershy, twilight sparkle, and derpy

Was wondering if anypony else would be joining us??

I am going to attempt filing the applications as soon as they're available to form and run an official Bronies panel. Should it be 18+ and would you be interested if I promise it's better than the grand galloping gala?

I'm thinking of going as Derpy Hooves or Applejack. I'd love to be a Rarity, since she's my favorite pony, but I'm not sure if I'd really fit her...
But a MLP group without Rarity would be so sad. Hmmm... I'm going to have to think about this. XD

Well I think I have pretty much 100% bullied my boyfriend into being our Derpy hooves xD He is even going to get a little brown delivery outfit with derpy delivery logo on the back and bubbles on the front pocket

Judging by how most bronies are the profanity alone will be nearly impossible to control.
There are several factors making me hesitant about an all ages panel for it, since I heard what all happened in saturday nights unsanctioned MLP panel.

That is an AMAZING wig. I'm not sure if it should be curled a smidgen more, though, I always imagined Pinkie Pie's hair curlier.

Let me know what you think of the P0N-3 gijinka, it's fairly simple, but would be my first gijinka, so I'm not sure how well it came out.

I really like that gijinka actually xD I think it would be a fairly basic one but if done properly could be really awesome. I'd suggest neon purple for the bag with some more black and white notes.

Huh. I thought brony was a more blanket phrase to cover all fans of MLP, not just adults. I mainly asked since our Pinkie Pie is a way bigger fan than I am, but she'll only be 16 come con next year.

Yeahh, though I know a lot of fans aren't 18 I want this first try to go as smoothly as possible. If the panel goes well then I will for sure host both an all ages and 18+ one. I just need to tip toe in first and not be a silly filly about this so the con let's us actually do this.

So, I've added Photo Finish in my list of ponies to cosplay. (It'd be the best thing ever to go around with that theme.) The list goes as follows so far of who I'm considering for next year: Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Derpy Hooves, and Photo Finish.

I have a group doing the main six ponies at Akicon and I'm thinking about maybe getting us all to wear it at Kumoricon again since our Rarity isn't going to be able to make it to Akicon now.

Doing Fluttershy and working on it right now actually. I'm almost done putting together my shoes and my roommate (Rainbow Dash) and I are working on our wings right now.

As well, I was questioning whether I should go with goggles or glasses for P0N-3. The Wiki says that they are goggles, and I found a pair that would work well, but the original clip doesn't have any visible straps.

P.S., these are the goggles I'm considering right now.

I've tossed the idea of doing MLP kigurumis with a buddy of mine.

Unless I can buy a pre-made one or one I can alter, I don't know If I can make my own kigurumi. i'd have to ask a family friend for help.
If I were to do this, I'd cosplay Twilight sparkle, and my buddy would pick Rarity or Pinkie Pie. (More likely Rarity)

Yay! Actual bronies. XD I'm aware we already have several, but I will be going to Kumoricon as Rainbow Dash as well, and I'd be totally open to helping with an 18+ panel so long as it doesn't conflict with my other panel. The only concern is if I don't perfect my Rainbow Dash voice, you aren't going to want to depend on me saying too much. XP I should though, so for now, count me in.

I was going to do Dr. Whooves or Macintosh, but I'm with a group of friends all doing MLP at Sakuracon and they needed a Rainbow Dash and Rarity so I volunteered to fill one of the spots, and I almost always reuse my Sakuracon costumes at Kumoricon.

I think tails look good if you have the right outfit. Some outfits just either don't need a tail or wouldn't go. But I kinda agree, if cat people get tails why don't Ponies?

They're the jumping stilts, and I'd just add on to them to get the shape. But I'm still looking for other options. But yeah, they're around 150-200 for just those...

All I have left is to buy make-up, (which I never do until the month before the con.) shave my face and arms, and to buy ears. By some miracle, I found these awesome pegasus wings at the local Value Village that perfectly matched the sky blue color of my shirt and shoes for only 5 dollars. I celebrated afterwards I was so happy. XD I'd take a progress pic, but I'm going to wait until I shave off my beard so that I don't look utterly ridiculous. I'm now in the stage of trying to come up with any extra things I could add to the costume that would take time, but not money. Ideas?

I realized Rainbow has one prop, which is her aviator goggles she uses in the Parasprite episode. Those'll be a fun addition. It terms of my want to do more pony though, I'm considering doing a 2nd pony cosplay instead of wearing Rainbow to both Sakura and Kumoricon. I thought about doing Trixie, but that would make for three crossplays in one year which is a rather lot. There just aren't any good colts in the series to do. Unless of course there are some in Season 2. I've only seen the first two episodes of S2 so far.

Oh! Also, regarding an earlier post. Since I will now be Soarin' for Kumoricon, my voice is no longer a concern of authenticity, (not to mention my other panel backed out.) so I am fully on board with helping with an MLP panel whether it be 18+ or all ages. We haven't discussed the panel in awhile, but I thought I would just mention that.

Also, I'm debating whether I should buy a blue leather jacket and attach fluff to the insides and collar or if I should just make an aviators jacket from scratch using blue vinyl, fluff, and some yellow lining fabric. The first is quick and easy but expensive and slightly tacky while the second is cheap and authentic, but will take hours of really frustrating sewing.

Being crafty is just fun. I make stuff too, but no pony stuff at the moment. My holiday project is making dolls of a set of characters from Homestuck. Some are for friends, but I might consider selling the remainders. Perhaps once those are done, pony projects could commence. I dunno what I'd make though. Fabric and painting are my areas overall which leads to many possibilities. Costumes tend to be my usual thing. (But being a costume design major might have a little to do with that.

I think the age limitations can be determined on whether it's a Brony panel specifically, or a panel for the show itself (though I think it'd be hilarious to non-bronies, and myself for that matter, if they looked in the guidebook and saw "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (18+)"). There are a few things about the Brony culture that do warrant themselves to 18+.

I will most likely be in charge of DDR for the video games section again. I have recently found stepmania files for about 12 songs; remixed show versions and original songs. I am in the works of downloading/finding more. hopefully I'll find/buy the cables needed to run it on a TV as opposed to a monitor this year (well next year technically, as it will be 2012). I am about to record myself doing these songs, and will post links upon request (I didn't record yesterday, when i did a lot of DDR, so I will look "noobish" on these vids).

anyone who knows some remixed songs, please post, I'm sure someone on the interwebs has made a step chart to it.

hmm...I'm thinking of dropping Rainbow Dash and switching to either another pony or a pokemon. I don't think I would make a very good Rainbow Dash anyways.

Also, I'm finally finding time to get stuff done with Vinyl Scratch. I've already got the shirt, and the goggles are incoming. So all that's really left is the wig to take care of.

Uh... I'm a guy and I'm genderbent. I actually basically do every mix and match. Cosplay, genderbent, crossplay, you name it.

my first impression on rarity when genderbent came into mind... REN from utapri so i based the left art from him... the second idea i got was what if rarity's tail was there? then i thought of a flowing scarf-- coz i like flowing my scarf all the way down to my knee~ if you see a guy walking around in hillsboro with a black scarf flowing behind him all the way down to his knee, that would be me XD

the one on the left is definitely classier... while the one on the right is definitely gothicy-er

Personally, when people do pony ginikas, I think they need ears, horn/wings if they have them and sometimes a tail. You can get away with not have a tail, but I think it needs to be there, like how all cat people have ears and tails. Why don't pony people?! Just my thoughts though.

And I like the first design, mainly b/c of the hair and you need that classier look for Rarity.

Eh, I disagree with you guys. I like the 2nd design. (Minus the unicorn shoes.) I feel the first is too generic and like most anime characters so you'll get lost in the crowd as something you're not. I like the second one since it uses a vest and chain which is signature high class attire as well as the short sleeves. It's more accurate as a costume/dressmaker. I know this from being one. XD I would take away the unicorn shoes and leg band. They don't match.

Maybe combine the two more. Have the hair more like the left one, but the style of the right one. Like the stereo typical male fashion designer.

I can see where you're going with that, but I think making the left one's hair longer would help out with making him stand out more. Plus, this is a simple pencil sketch that's lacking in color. I think once that gets factored in, he'd stand out much more.

The high class thing is valid, for a certain time period, but the coat on the left is true, too. You also make a good point about the short sleeves being more akin to a costume/dress maker, but the gloves would be a hindrance.

I agree with nekovamp. Find a way to combine the two, and you could have an amazing cosplay here.

Huh, I didn't even notice it had gloves. Gloves are a major no-no indeed. I'm in agreement with the others, combining the two would be a great idea.

I'm currently looking at what modifications I could do to Rainbow Dash to make it more male aside from what's obvious. She's already very guy-like, and the original costume is already fairly minimalist.
