To everyone who came to the anime that scarred me panel
« on: September 05, 2005, 09:52:22 pm »
You were all so awesome! I was afraid to get in there and run that thing by myself but you were so easy-going and freindly, sorry about the times when I had to stop and look at my notes.
One hour was totally not enough time, the next panel will have to be 2 hours long! Hope to hear from you and see you at the next panel.
And now I'm a catgirl?

The voice of the one I love
was all I could hear as I lay broken in the darkness
My own voice faltered
My wings no longer had the strength to fly

There were about 18 or 19 people who attended it and everyone talked to each other about things they saw in animes that they were really disturbed over. The event went great. We all connected with each other well and it's really nice when you get something that bothers you off your chest. If you've ever been extremely bothered by something you saw in an anime, I highly recommend you attend this event.

BigGuy: That's cool that you plan on doing the panel again. I'll definitely be attending it again. It was so nice to be able to discuss the things that drive me nuts in Pokemon and Tales of Symphonia.

Y'know, I'm alittle concerned about the quality of the anime you've been watching if you can come up with another couple hours worth of discussion... have you considered changing your viewing habits?  I'm sure I could suggest a few new titles for you.. after all, you survived a bunch of guys dancing around and singing about tennis...  :P

You might not understand the sheer volume of shows I've seen :D
There's bound to be some bad ones thrown in there, plus we only got about 15 mins to talk about Eva which is just enough to scratch the surface.

You mean like me watching all of the regular show in 2 days? Too late, well, it made for a good panel.

I wish I went to that Panel.
It's not so much the anime that scarred me, as it was the fangirls/boys from particular animes that scar me.

But, man. I would've totally went on about how Digimon and Pokemon very nearly did push me away from watching Anime forever.

And that damn blasted AWFUL Angel Sanctuary OVA.

Oh god. Or Chobits. Ahaha.

When I was sitting with staff and I turned around, staring as that guy turned her on.

I was like... WTF?! WTF!? the entire time. Now that freaking scarred me.  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

@mightycrouton:

I SO agree. Argh Chobits.

And as to the topic... dangit, I'm really really sad I missed this panel. I am going to come to it next year, no matter what. *nods gratuitously like a bobblehead figure*

I remember reading the manga the first time around thinking "And these are the same people who made Cardcaptor Sakura.  Quite the audience-age jump here."
