As you know, SakuraCon has a wonderful retro gaming room that I peruse each year I go there!

But, I must ask, will there be a retro gaming room @ KumoriCon? I would go there in a heartbeat! :D Thanks.

A proud attendee of Kumoricon and SakuraCon.

Chances are we'll only have one room for video games.  However, the con does have older systems, and people are encouraged to bring (and temporarily donate) their systems, too.
My cosplay plans for 2022 (thus far): Vanir from Konosuba
My son's plans this year (thus far): Penguin Chiyo-chan from Azumanga Daioh

My NES isn't working (I generally bring it to every con except Sakuracon, which doesn't need it), but I'll bring my 2 NES Advantage controllers, Bubble Bobble, Joust, Ninja Crusaders, and Trojan for free play use as long as gaming staff don't have a problem with that and can be sure they get back to me unharmed at the end of con. ;)

While we don't have a retro room at Kumoricon 2011 we do plan to have a few retro systems set up. I can promise a SNES and NES/SNES multisystem and a mess of games for them. If you'd like to bring in your NES gear Tofu that'd be fine. I've been toying with the idea of bringing an N64 as well. We have a regular attendee that brought a whole mess of retro stuff last year and turned one corner into a retro superparty. It was pretty cool. If you guys want to bring in equipment or games to lend to the gaming room over the weekend we'd love to tag stuff and enter it into our system for you so you can claim it later. The sooner you bring stuff in to lend the better as it can get busy once video gaming gets going, especially around tournament times.

I know what you mean; I've worked gaming at a few conventions before, including Kumoricon '08 and '09, so I'm pretty familiar with the system.  Pretty sure the guy who brought in all the retro stuff was my friend Peaktra (Shinstar); he almost always brings a bunch of rare/vintage/import games to conventions. :)

I usually drop off my gaming equipment on day 0 during setup.  In fact, I'll probably be free at that time if you'd like me to do any data entry into a log of loaned equipment or something.  All my stuff's already tagged too so it should just be straight up entry into a system when I bring it in

I just hope for an opportunity to bring in and play one of my PS1 games; I'm wanting to show it off to the other posters in the song cover thread.
