Hey all you Tsubasa junkies! We're planning a meet-up over the summer~!

What ideas does everyone have? I was thinking a trip to the beach or somewhere watery would be fun but it would be hard for the crossplayers...

I'd like one of every character if possible, though doubles and triples or even quads would be fine. If we did have one of every character though, then we could make a LARP out of it or something. Not that we couldn't anyway...

We can also add the Holic cast if we do it so there's more characters.

Depends on when you do it, but if my Black Mokona and I (White Mokona) are done with our costumes when you do, we'd love to.

I'd love too though I'm a cross player and doing anything with water wouldn't work. My costume isn't very water proof at all and actually I was told to stay away from water...

Though if we go somewhere else and its not too hot, I would love to get together with everyone. I'd be Fai and my boyfriend would be Kurogane.

@April - Well I was thinking of like swim wear kind of things but yeah...crossplaying would be tough.

What other things would you guys want to do? Picnics are always fun. Theme parks are interesting too. I'm not really sure what we'd want to do. Zoo trip? XD I have no idea.

Alright! Also, Emily (my Fai) and I were thinking it'd be fun for a separate meet-up than this one that's a Tsubasa slumber party. PJs, Tsubasa anime/OVAs/movie, games, etc.

I bought some fun 'modern' clothes for Syaoran today too.

That sounds like fun! I'd have to check with my parents, but I'll try to get my wig/ears/jewel done for Mokona first so I can pull together a modern cosplay if this happens.

Still not sure where the Slumber Party would be at though... I wish it could be at my house but my room mates wouldn't go for it. If we can't find a house to do it at, we can probably settle with just doing a pajama night down town or even put some money together and (it sounds weird) get a hotel room for a night. I'm trying to think of something because it'd be lots of fun XD

I'd offer up my apartment but I'm in Canada and that might be a little hard for everyone to get too.

Gonna go look for some causal Fai and Kuro Clothes soon, and possibly some I can get wet. XD

Right...Canada might be tough. I would totally do it but it'd be more a weekend trip not a day trip and with the work I do, it'd be tough.

For crossplaying swim wear Syaoran, I found some cool swim trunks then just a t-shirt to go over. It works pretty well.

Sadly there is no way I could get to Canada.
A cheep hotel would be alright as long as my parents meet you guys and possible stay in a room right next door.

Yeah... Canada would be a no... We'll think of something though! It's not like there would be a TON of us anyway. But yeah, right now a hotel would probably be the better of them.

I wish I could say I would be your Watanuki, but alas, I'm Syaoran. I am going to double as Watanuki at the con though.

I know of an awesome place in Lincoln City. It's almost like having your own house. I went there a lot as a kid. It's the Hideaway

I could more than likely drive you but it'll depend. I'll see what I can do.

I think that the Hideaway would be perfect if only it wasn't a 2 hour drive and it's only open Sunday through Thursday and I have work and school. I can get time off for it but it wouldn't be until after Summer term which is after Kcon.

I'll keep it in mind though for further trips...

Does anyone else have any local ideas?

Motel 6 seems good, It's cheep (about $60 a night, cheep if we all pitch in) and not probably not sleazy.

I think it might be a good idea to plan the slumber party as the second get together rather then the first. Just to make sure we get along. ^^

Yeah, I was planning to do the sleep over as the second meet-up anyway. I just was seeing if anyone would be interested or have any idea where to do it if we went through with it.

As for the first meet-up. Just some random park or something could be fun. I wouldn't mind a beach trip though. X3 It'd be fun.

Also! My car can hold up to five people (counting the driver) if anyone needs a ride but I will charge for some gas just because it's getting spendy. Thankfully it's going down but still... I might charge five or ten dollars depending on how many people and what not.

Yeah, I wouldn't charge much and I'd feel like a jerk for asking but man... Giving people rides all the time for free gets costy after a while.

I know how you feel.
Every K-con my friends stay at my house and my parents ask them for a bit to help pay for food and gas. If you were a jerk you wouldn't even offer a ride.

Well I figure if I want people to show up for something I plan, then I should do something to help people actually get there. But I don't WANT to go too far out of my way XD But I will if need be. Not saying anyone is a bother.

Enchanted Forest would be fun! I've never been there... We planned a Haruhi Shoot there once but it never happened because it would have been a 3 and a half hour drive for me and my parents were against me driving 7 hours in one day just for a day trip.

But we could go! It just costs money. But it's not awful.

It is the best place ever.

It might cost a bit for gas but to get in it isn't that expensive and you only need tickets for the few rides that they have there.
It would be fun to go there when they have a show going!

Depends if this is 3.5 hours from Seattle. If it is I won't be able to make it.

Getting to Seattle is about 2.5 hours for me as it is. Tack on another 3.5 and that's 6 hours. Not sure if I'm up for that. Sorry guys.

Yeah... For you April, it'll be difficult because getting here is quite the chore. That's one reason I suggested the sleepover. Then you'd have a day or two to hang out so it'd be worth it. Rather than two hours or something.

The waterfront sounds good. We could do a casual shoot and get to know each other - I'm going to prioritize getting my wig and making the ears/jewel, and once I have those a casual White Mokona would be alarmingly easy for me to throw together, considering the staggering amount of white clothing I own, but it'll be a bit longer before I have the full lolita-style dress made. And the water front is pretty easy to get to for those of us who live in/around Portland, and it's really lovely.

I'm mostly free - I know we're going out of town for a week or so late in August, but I'm not sure of the exact dates. I'll ask my mom when she gets home. But We'll definitely be in town for the 7th if you wanted to do it on your birthday. I think that sounds like a lot of fun.

It's by the river that cuts through Portland, downtown. It's where the various festivals/celebrations in Portland are usually held.

So I guess we'll figure out a more exact location closer to the actual date? Because the Waterfront is kind of big...
