Hey guys! I've been itching for one of those big group photoshoots again, so let's get planning for one!

~~I'm thinking June? Start throwing out dates that work for you. If June doesn't work out then we still have all of July and August.~~
The meet is planned for June 18th!

For a place, I'd like to keep it within downtown Portland, the Pioneer Square area. Director Park is a great place for photos, the all white really makes your skin look nice. The fountains across from Keller Auditorium are also cool. We can move around, too haha.

I'd like to come~ But I'm in Redmond from the 15th until the 24th and busy the week of the 15th and the weekend before with finals. So I'm guessing chances of me being able to go areeeeeeee slim.

If I do though maybe I'll wear my secret Kumoricon cosplay or something because I'm bad at secret keeping. Idk.

I should probably go through my own calender haha.

June 4-5 is busy for me.
June 10th is my graduation so I'm busy that weekend.
I think I'm free the 18th? I have to double check.
After that I'm totally good :> Plus after school gets out would people be okay with having this on a weekday?

The last week of June would be the only one that works for me, any day. But I'm just throwing that out there if it works well for other people as well. If something else comes up don't worry about me~

We should try to do at least a monthly shoot.

And I'll be free during the weekdays.

My graduation is the 13th, so not that day, and I'll probably be totally dead the 14th from the all night party.

Eve! I totally want to see some of your cosplays! And we usually have too many things that happen on weekends...Even in summer which is weird...
We should plan for a weekday for this!

And @nekovamp haha I hope so, Shannon is going to be my roommate. There's a cosplay club down at SOU, where we'll be attending college, so we'll join that. And we'll come visit as often as we can~

fleur, that's awesome. I'm hoping to transfer down to SOU eventually for their Theater Arts program. It's such a nice place. Everytime I go there I wish I brought a cosplay to get pictures in >.<

But yes, I'm excited for this.
Not sure what cosplay I'll attempt to do...Maybe an original piece...

hm >3> well sadly the only date good for me is the 17th >.< i have a concert later that day that i have to be in downtown anyways, so it can work

but i can't go on any other dates till after sep :/

edit: WOOPZ! XD concert isn't till july XD not june lawlz >.< so um yeah i won't be able to go unless it's after 2 weeks from now so if you do plan it on the 18th, then you have to say so NOW so i can put it down on the calendar at work >.<

Since it's a "No cosplay, don't come" event I'm not gonna go since I would have to leave my friend from Washington to wander around downtown by himself, and I don't really want to have to wander Portland until 10 at night in cosplay. If anyone breaks off though and wants to say, all ya'll I'm friends with have my number, text me~ I'll be downtown for a good chunk of the day or over in Hawthorne.

I just figured out what I'll end up coming as if I do go, and it won't be any specific character. I'll be dressed in a black suit and tie, maybe with a fedora and cane. Also my stay would be quick, since I have another event up in north Portland, namely Kenton Masonic Lodge's 100 years celebration. So along with this shoot, I invite everyone who can make it, to come join me. Just follow the yellow line up to Kenton and Denver and walk across the tracks down past Wells Fargo Bank and the Paul Bunyan statue, and you should see the tip of the iceberg of crowds. Also Fiction Addicition is a game store right by the lodge if anyone was interested in checking it out.

Late isn't an option, only early.
I graduate on Friday but since I'm going to the all-night grad party my mom doesn't want me falling asleep at my own party on Saturday. I thought she told me to move it to Sunday but apparently in momspeak that means next Saturday and I just found out.
The party is in the afternoon/early evening so if anything I'd be able to go for about an hour RIGHT when she shoot starts and they never start on time anyways.

But people already got time off work and made plans and everything so I'll go ahead and leave the date. If I can make it that's cool, if not I'll live.

@fleur_fraise - if you can come to this on the 18th even for a little while, I'll be sure to get some photos of you.

Everyone: I'm going to run a photography contest at this meetup. The contest is for the best cosplay photo taken at this gathering. 1st place $30, 2nd place: $20, third place: $10. Creativity and composition will count somewhat more than image quality, so as not to give too much advantage to people who happen to own better cameras. You must have taken the photo yourself to enter. Photoshop an other post-processing is allowed, but the end result must basically still seem like a photo (for example, taking a photo and then drawing over it so much that it no longer looks at all like a photo would not be a valid entry).

A condition for entry is that I may use the winning photos (with attribution) at my panel on cosplay photography at AM2 in July.
