For the price the con was very well ran, I was impressed with the con book. I plan to attend next year.
PS I was teh guy with my big Hello Kitty

You won some free floor prizes, didn't ya? :D

So, I ran into some peeps and it was pretty cool.  I didn't get to stay very long because I had to meet up with a friend around 3PM to do some studying.  But, it was good seeing people! ^_^  There were a few people I saw but they passed by so quickly or were surrounded by too many people so I didn't wanna disturb. D:

Hopefully next time this con rolls around I won't have a cold/allergies and feel awful. D:  Always seems to happen whenever a small con runs through Portland. XD

I dunno if you saw, but my little sister's best friend (small Asian kid in pigtails and a big brown jacket) was staring at you and your Hello Kitty and she kept saying "That's teh biggest Hello Kitty I've ever seen! That's the biggest Hello Kitty ever!" I think you made her con. XD

Also: pdxyar was awesome.  XD  Randomly breaking out into song and their little "battles" they would do in the halls.  ^_^

How come any hotel we go to would shut down that type of stuff? D:  Is it just because there's too many people moving around at Kcon?

Had such a ballin' time. Awesome friends, awesome convention, what's more to ask for? I ended up winning a star wars track jacket for my Ramona Flowers hammer and I got a bunch of people that asked me for commissions and that kind of just from seeing my hammer and my Kumatora wig.

Best convention in Oregon in my book. I will be back next year and I'll probably be volunteering. Also Karaoke is the single best way to end a con.

I had an AWESOME time you guys! 8D Other than the first day that tired me out (and made me hungry) to the point of..well...My inner demons sort of let out at the end of the day when i got home (A.K.A a very, very, very bitchy mood). But Sunday was AMAZING! The costumes were awesome, the Karaoke was awesome, the huge ammount of button pins i got was awesome, EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME!
I totally plan on going next year :'D

First of all, you're welcome. We like to share the glory instead of keeping it all to ourselves.

And as to your question about how we get away it, it's really quite simple. We are trained performers who are hired to perform at various events and establishments. Now, that's a big difference from just a couple of random con goers who suddenly think "Hey! Let's start fighting with replica swords in the middle of the hallway!" and proceed to cause the hotel staff to soil themselves. Especially since we were being asked by Billy Galaxy, the man who organized Wonder Northwest, to basically do what we were doing. In short, we were essentially the hired entertainment (for lack of a better term).

Right.  That makes sense.  I guess I was more thinking how lots of people stopped in the middle of the hallways to watch and sing along.  Where as at Kumoricon, hotel staff starts telling people to keep moving if you stop for more than a few moments. ^^;  I certainly wouldn't want just random people to start battling in the middle of the con. xD

Also, *brony fist*  Nice avatar. ^_^

I know you did!  I tried my best to avoid you, but you're like a Level 79 creeper so I didn't stand much of a chance.

I'm kidding, of course.  It was great to see you! ^_^  Although, something needs to be done about the whole "I don't know anything about Star Wars" . . and the fact that you can't even recognize an NES, SNES, or Genesis cartridge.  You poor thing.  D:

@wrath: it's okay XD i won't kill you... yet! XD <33

but overall i think the con was great.  but since it's the first year, i can see why they didn't have more panels. i kind of wish you guys had maybe anothe room, or something, with more panels. I would love to make a panel of my own next year with friends ^_^

karaoke, and rock band was awesome. and of course the lolita fashion show (<3333 holly you are awesome) and the costume contest (i can't remember his name T__T the awesome dude with the black short spikey-ish hair, staff member with a yellow jacket, and awesome singing skills XD)

We need more Rockband....I loved that

And yes the fashion show, it re-sparked my love for the clothes

I loved that dude. and he's haley's bro

Oh man WNW was so fricken awesome.... normally I don't buy anything in dealer rooms, but this weekend was everything I've ever wanted. I've been drowning in my X-Men merch all day!

Getting to hang out wit hbros and see so many people was awesome, I honestly prefer the feeling of these smaller conventions to big ones. =]

Yeah, he's awesome ^^

I wish I got there earlier and wasn't as dead to do the Loli show, but oh well. Next year! Though, seeing people in their outfits was really cool!

I hope that next year we can get a larger venue to have more rooms for panels and such. Rock Band and Karaoke would be awesome to have it's own room so it can just go most of the day!

Here's a crappy little video I put together:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx6IK378CRU

I wish I could've filmed the lolita fashion show (I was in it so that would be difficult) and all of the costume contest but my battery was dying so I just got my friends and a few I liked at the beginning.

This reminds me of an article that was written in a recent issue of the Willamette Weekly, in which they made it sound like the popularity of lolita fashion was a brand new thing in the Portland area (at least that's the way it sounded to me).  I sort of "lol"ed but also found it to be somewhat pathetic, since they were making it sound like they were "too cool" to know about a popular trend among the nerd-culture.  It's not a bad read, though, since the primary focus in the article is on how it's about fashion and not a perverted love of children.

That article was done after the writer interviewed Holly, who ran the fashion show |: And I read the article and didn't get that vibe at all.

I didn't! I had to study for an exam, remember?! D:  Or did I not say that?  My original plan was to meet my friend at 12:30pm, study until 2:30pm, 3:00pm then take the quick drive across the river to the hotel.  Well, turns out my friend wasn't going to be available until 2:30pm at the earliest.  So, since it was already 11:00am, I stopped my studying, got ready, and headed out the door for WNW.  I stayed until around 3pm or so, at which point I drove to my friend's house and we studied for about 2-3 hours.

So, yeah, I missed it. *pout*

Here's a little something from Wonder NW that some of you might have missed, or maybe only heard about.

An "argument" at the end of the "Kneel Before Pod" panel resulted in a battle outside in the hallway between members of PDXYar. (This is also happens to be a lesson in why you never mess with our wenches.) http://youtu.be/2VtK01jZMWk

I was interviewed for the article. It might have sounded like a program guide because the interviewer wanted basic information.
