Finally picked out my Harley wig!~ >w< Should be buying it within the next 2 weeks. It's not as dark as his actual hair because I wanted it to be a bit more suttle looking.

Hey all. Long time no talk. lol

Recently I've decided that Ninetales is my favorite pokemon now. And as such, I've been thinking about a cool Gijinka idea for it. This time, I plan to do a normal cosplay about it and stay on gender; Male.

Thinking about ninetales and how to do is hard. However, I came across this Arcanine Gijinka pic;

Seeing this gave me some possible thoughts. See, I really love the design on this Arcanine Gijinka. Its perfect. Thats why I would love to be a girl when it comes to cosplay. They have much more detailed or cool options to work with.

For my Ninetales idea, I would love to model it based on this as much as possible. (without it looking too girly or what not)

I should be able to use similar sleeves, obviously adjusted to Ninetales's appearence.
I could get the same shorts only a bit longer. Or just not skin tight. I dunno...
Not sure on the shirt. I know we talked about that with my skarmory gijinka, but still...

What do you guys think? What would be some good designs for a ninetales gijinka?

that looks really nice :3 if you want to look more "male" lol maybe the t-shirt something like this with the imprints ~jacket~ i thought that would look really cool

and for the pants maybe some long shorts? kinda wide like these ~shorts~ up to you and how comfortable u are, u may like the design u have there, but just not skin tight like u said, kinda a bit lose. it could work and it'll look man-ly? lol XD and u can stick with short spikey hair instead or just keep that hair cute there cuz that haircut looks like it could fit a man :3

Well like I said, I am not planning an Arcanine Gijinka, Im doing a Ninetales one. I just like the overal outfit features of this Arcanine one.
Im trying to adapt that outfit, (parts of it) for Ninetales now. lol

I mean, If I changed just the shorts, (made them longer) would it still look really feminine? A little feminine? Not at all?
How far on the female side does it look as is?

Right now it's a little feminine because of the belly shirt.

Ninetails, to me, is characterized as a beautiful poke`mon which is somewhat full of itself so think of it that way.
As a male I would think of some slacks and a skin tight muscle tee with a jacket over it. Either short, spiky hair or long, flowing locks.

However, keeping with the design of the Arcanine... I can't really see Ninetails out of it but you could easily lengthen the shirt. The rest isn't very feminine. You could lengthen the shorts, too, but the tightness isn't an issue.

hmz well that design could work, but yea like gryffinclaw said, those would work, and skin tight shirt with jacket is great (the fur color adds a lot to that proudness i think) but it's up to u

On a different note, for those of you who did see me at Kcon this year, do you think I could pull of cosplaying as Miku Hatsune?

She is win. And I've seen pictures of other males cosplaying as her and they were able to pull it off. You could tell they were male, but it looked good still.
That being said, could I pull it off?

Im crunching all the different ideas for next year.

If you want to be a female, I would go for it. Reppy is a chick every year even though he doesn't exactly look like one.

Also, for Vocaloid chat you can come to the Voca Thread. If you post a pic of yourself then we will gladly tell you how it would look and if it's advisable.

Also, if you want to be a female, then you should check out Miss KumoriCon 2011.

@luvan: Good luck! I've gone to Disneyland for nearly 12 years or 1 year and ahalf straight. It takes pancience to work there, but it'll be really cool :3 Oh but on another subject (pokemon, it'S this thing, with weird creatures. I think you guys would like it), I'm dropping Pansy!Ruby from Pokemon Adventures and doing Leaf/Green/Blue in her original black dress again this year. I might spring togther a Ruby if I have the funds.

I got the best costume award today at my college. :'D
I had worm my Misty outfit for the Japanese Club Event. My prize is a free meal from the Hub which isn't exactly the cheapest place to eat (but the only one on campus...).

So, apparently it's not that bad of an outfit. ^^

I am also going as Lugia. I am going to have it done in time for Mewcon. Paprika is going to be my Ho-oh.I am working on part of the costume now, not a major part but part. After Saturday I am going to get the material I need and start sewing. I already made the design for mine, I think Paprika has started on hers as well, at least she was drawing a little in the car ride home from akicon.
