Scene: On my way to my hotel room (the Paramount) there were 2 girls, a blond & a brunette, & about 20 or so years old. They had just parked & the blond was trying to put on the parking ticket thing from the parking meter on her car. She couldn't get it to work.

Wait a minute. Someone entered a dating game dressed as a Sesame Street character? What, did they change the name "Snuffaluffagus" to "Snuggle Up with Us"? (seriously that's what I thought they said when I was a kid).

There was an odd Muppet theme around Creation Station this year. At one point, several of us spontaneously riffed on the old "Piiiiigs innnnn Spaaaaaace" opening. Later, *the* Plot Bunny of the Year in Scenes from a Hat-- so packed, we had to split it in half & run it twice!, Thanks, Sandi & Audrey!-- was:
"Kermit, the Jedi".

In my favorite-in-years SFAH response, a guy filked "The Rainbow Connection" with Star Wars jokes, Kermit as Luke, Yoda schooling him, but sung in a Kermit voice. Loved it so much I insisted he come back and sing it again at Bedtime Stories so FilkAeris could hear it.

I loved that, when I was in my cosplay as Rachel from the Lady Gaga episode of Glee, people who squeed to recognize it would explain the context of it to her friends.

As someone who is very much in favor of legalization of gay marriage and gay adoption, it made me happy that my cosplay was leading the hallways to be filled with people joyfully talking about  Rachel and "her two gay dads".
