Anime Fans over 30 Pannel
« on: April 07, 2010, 07:38:10 pm »
I had been playing around in my mind to see if there any interest for an Anime fans over 30 panel. I willing to be the point person unless unemployed again to have to move out. (No likely now) I wonder if there any interest, panelist ideas to talk about. Etc.

I'm 36 and I'd be glad to be a panelist if you'd like.

This is a great idea!  I'd definitely go to this panel (that is, if my work schedule will let me go to Kumoricon this year).

One suggestion i can think of is we look for Anime that the younger Generation hasn't heard of.
I happen to know of a large number of them.

My husband and I will be at Kumoricon, and we are both WAAAAAAYYYYYYY over 30.  I'll try to get him to sign up on the forums so he can see things and respond, but I know he'd love to be on the panel. He's the real  Anime fan in our household; I like anime too, but he's much more into it than I am. (And he loves AMVs!) ;)

I just hope we can have an Anime over 30 panel I've just learned recentkly that there's a problem involving money for the fellow who came up with this marvelous idea.

Sounds like my weekly Anime Friday.  Most of the regulars are over 30.   ;D

I would probably attend.  Not sure about being part of the panel.  I guess I would need a clearer definition of the panels purpose.

Sounds like a good plan. I'll probably be too busy to attend but I fully approve of the sentiment.

Glad to hear you want to do it again. I'm more than up for it if you'll have me as a panelist. I recommend Vampire Hunter D, and the original Robotech series as starters. Oh and also the original Lupin the III is also old school anime.

Thanks for putting on this panel.  It was an awesome trip down memory lane when everyone started listing all the old shows that I grew up with and haven't seen in years now.

Well, I'll be 30 by KCon '13, but I like the idea of this panel.  It's nice to know that there are panels dedicated to adults that don't mean "hentai" all of the time, especially at a family-oriented con.
