OK, so here's the deal, we have little over a month until the convention is here and there's only been one real meeting. So here's the plan.

There will be two more Kumoricon volunteer/staff events for us to go to. The "August Meeting" and the "Bag Stuffing Party".

August meeting is to be announce but as soon as sombody sees it posted (or gets insider info) post here! That way we can lla make it there.

The Bag Stuffing Party will happen at an unknown location but will most likely be really near when the convention happens.

Since these dates are unknown and most likely will happen without much warning, we need to schedule our own meeting so that those of you who haven't met up yet can be here before the convention. This is mainly for Panda since he's the furthest away (I think). It's also for people who've just had bad luck getting here, like MistressLegato and PinkIchigoKitty.

Since it's getting late and I want a decent night's sleep, I'll open up the floor to suggestions from club members. Right now I'm thinking that Uwajimaya's would be the place to meet and then we could travel to the hotel via bus/car to show everyone the space.

What do you guys think?

I see that the Kumoricon Meeting will be on the 14th (Sunday, it was on the homepage), and I asked my dad about going up again and he said he'd think about it. ^_^- Which is most likely a yes.

As for traveling all together from Uwajimaya's, I don't know how willing my dad would be to do that for Megan and I. We'd most likely end up meeting everyone at the hotel, unless we get on our knees and beg.

^_^- I think we should all try and be in costume. xDD That would be fun... That way Kim isn't the only one that gets weird stares. :3

I'M ALIVE!!! my nets been down since monday(and its still down on my computer) and I dunno if it will stay up at this point.

uwajimaya is on beaverton hillsdale highway(something I personally nicknamed the asian highway) bus 54 from beaverton transit center can take you to it.

now I'm getting the feeling that the meeting won't get anywhere unless someone picks a day or something so how about july 30th weekend(there is this weekend, but that may be too soon..?)? its about a week from now for those who dun know what the date is.

This weekend I will be in Eugene, so I cant make it. Next weekend I should be around tho, but the following two after that I will be in Eugene. On August 14th is the K-con meeting, but I think I'll be missing that since I'm coming back from Eugene that day and my picnic for work is 11-4 and I can't get out of it.

okay, I figured there would people that would be busy already for this weekend. if anything, I kinda doubt nekochan would be able to get a ride back up here soon after the last one.

alternately, we could have online meeting. since nekochan can't use aim, we'll likely either have to get win msg, some other im that works with both, or maybe set up a chat room in IRC.

internet relay channel....I think. I had used them in a chatroom RPG game years ago. at first, I used some yahoo to get into the chatrooms, but later used mIRC which had better features.

Park Lanes is a bowling Alley in Hillsboro. Hillsboro is WEST of Portland, in Washington County.

I'm happy that you guys have been working so hard to plan this!
I think that having a meeting at Uwajimaya next Sunday would be the best for getting the most people together. If you all want to meet this weekend go ahead and get together! You can talk about costuming and Pocky and the convention!

I have not been able to design the order form for deliveries yet but i'll be working on that over the weekend.

Everyone's assignment now: find a picture ofthe character you are cosplaying as and email (or PM) a copy to me and Kurimono.

Kurimono is going to be the new WEBMASTER of pockyclub.20megsfree.com and will make a characters page for us!
Right Kurimono?

(don't worry Kurimono, Luana says we can make Ronime do it if you think its too much pressure. ^_^ )

As far as what "Pocky" things we'll be doing, we'll be splitting some Strawberry Pocky of course! The karaoke sounds great, I know of one over near the downtown Beaverton Dairy Queen that's like $25 to get a room for an hour. Cramming into there would be crazy!

If someone has a digital camera (or can borrow one) you should totally bring it. I will try and dredge up one of my costumes for the meeting. I can probably get Zoicite in good condition (if I find the pants). I just hope I can get a ride in this HEAT! bleh

OK people, make sure that if you don't come in costume you bring some decent anime-wear to our next meeting because we're gonna get pictures for the website!

Singing, by the way, has nothing to do with karaoke. Sure it's more fun if you're drunk but we're all silly enough to have fun without booze. So do you guys think we'll have enough money and time to eat lunch at Uwajimaya's and then go for Karaoke? I think that we should all be able to chip in for it.

I'm going to make sure we know when the karaoke place opens... and also where that other one is in case its better.

OK, I think this is great that we're getting together and people will have costumes. However I have been informed that my grilfriends family are flying into town on Friday and they make take us on a trip to Crater Lake.

Now if we end up going I won't make it to the meeting. That' s a big IF though. I just wanted to make sure I let you guys know about that possibility now, OK.

So I plan on being there, but there is a slight chance I might be gone this weekend. Once I know for sure I will leave a message.

If I can't come then I wanna see lots of pictures OK?

OK, I have another note for the meeting on Sunday. My costume, Dash the Gnome, needs to talk with me about costume stuff and if she works on Sunday I'm going to be walking over to the craft store a block back from Uwajimaya to meet with her. I wanted you all to know that I'll be doing that sometime on Sunday, If I'm running late I'm going to stop by the meeting first and then maybe we can all go say hi to her afterwards and then go to karaoke.

So, you guys said there was a karaoke parlour on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway.

Mission 2, find out what the hours they are open and what their address is.

well the one I went to was when I was in high school...and I only turn 21 this year. there may be more then one karaoke place as well and I dun really remember the very exact store it was at(or its name)

Yeah, they don't even have Rumours listed on there. I'll find the adress and hours for Rumours out tomorrow if I can make it by there. Otherwise I'll have to wait until later this weekend, possibly even the meeting!

If someone lives in Beaverton and could swing by the downtown Dairy Queen it's like, a block South from there.

To the rest of you; the Korean karaoke parlour named Rumours is a block away from the Dairy Queen in downtown Beaverton. I was giving Beaverton natives a point of reference. Nyeh!

Once I have thoroughly bribed my driver with ice cream he will be driving me over to check out their hours.
As soon as he gets here that is.

Awww... The karaoke place opens at 6 pm and is open until 1 am. So no karaoke for us!

So, the latest the meeting can go is 4. Everything will be wrapped up by then because people have to leave earlier. I have to meet Dash at 3:30 for example.

No set end time though, Though I think everyone will have to leave at 3.
