Small Scott Pilgrim Photoshoot for '10 *Full*

Hello folks. I would like to get a small photoshoot together for Scott Pilgrim.

We have all the main characters of the book! I'm so excited! 14 people is a lot though and I know before that one of the main photographers says it's harder to work with such big groups. So no more people jumping in the group now. If someone drops out I'll make a post saying who we need but I think we are golden at this point.

Please make sure if you haven't read or finished the comic yet, that you do so before con. I'd like for everyone to know the story so we can get some really sweet ass photos!

Day 0
Meet at Pioneer Square and then move around, we are probably going to take pictures there, then move to another sitting area with good scenary a block away, and we will definitely hit up a coffee shop.

This was this last progress picture I took for Ramona. Since then I've gotten gloves and some leather for her necklace. I ordered purple tights last night and I'm going to order the studded belt in the next few days. I'll be making the other belt this weekend :3

KNIVES HERE, READY FOR DRUNK MAKING OUT AT ANY TIME!!!

I...can't really think of any special outfits she has, so I'll just dye my hair and get her ravenclaw scarf/restofoutfit from where she first attacks Ramona probably.  Maybe in the last book (COMING OUT IN JULY SO EXCITED) she'll have some sort of new special outfit that I can don.  We'll see though, I kind of just want to dye my hair like that for the hell of it. 

Also half chinese here and i totally look azn when i'm not wearing my glasses so it won't be race fail wheee

Last update on my Ramona cosplay '3' I am going to be buying the stud belt tomorrow and starting to work on the other one as well.

@boogiepop: I'm planning to!  A friend's offered to let me share his AA table, so I'm really...leaning that direction at this point, and I've found cheap air fare.. However, it's a definite no unless I can get a roommate situation sorted out, and the girl I was leaning on has been a little bit...not all there, so it's a little messy at this point. (UM, UM, IF IT'S JUST YOU AND YOUR BF OR ONE OTHER PERSON YOU COULD MAYBE SHARE A ROOM WITH ME AND MY OTHER FRIEND COUGHHHH) If I were able to go, Knives might be an excellent simple cosplay to bring along!

God that trailer breakdown makes me more excited for the movie! It's nice to see how well they are keeping to the comic.
Also the bag thing is pretty god damn cute. Though now I'm not sure what color to make the star on my bag since the base of the bag is already blue >: I always just assumed it was pink like the trim.

Yeah, I saw that....and it took me a minute to realize who the heck it was but on the comic book covers it's more of a reddish brown, so I may just go with that.

@Kameko- Yeah, I think the majority of the art I have has her her as a red brown too. I think either choice will look fine though, as long as you are ginger-y.

So, new news, Trumby apparently was blownin' through SP the other night and he relayed to me on facebook that he may (I know it's just a maybe but having people even think about our group gets me all goose bumpy and happy and I wanted to share news.) be joining our group as Matthew Patel.

It's a 14 person group, large groups are hard to control and I want to make this as easy as we can for the photographers that join us. So far in advance and I'll be reminding you again but please think about courtesy and not being loud and talking over each other and stuff. We'll probably start out getting some single shots of everyone (2 or 3 poses each person), then maybe get a shot or two of each couple, and then move on to group shots. If you have some ideas now please share! I'm going to be using all my leadership skills, gathering experience, and planning to make this awesome! I don't think it was THAT earth-shattering, it wasn't bad by all means but my life isn't changed and will never be the same etc
It was a LOT darker than I was expecting (not a bad thing, don't get me wrong) so I was a little confused by the tone of the book.  It was really different from the series, I felt. 
Certainly not bad, but it was just very different from what I was anticipating.

Yesterday I ordered everything for Roxy except for the socks and a pair of boot laces for my Dr Martins. I was worried that I wasn't going to finish this costume, but now I think I will!

I'm kinda almost done with the shorts? They are fitting a little funny. It's my first time putting elastic into anything. I gotta rip out the waistband tomorrow and put it back in lower and try to fit it a bit better (I really hate my body, I've got an 11 inch difference between my waist and my hips, makes fitting things difficult :\) I'm hoping to have my shirt done by tomorrow too.

Got the wig, got the goggles, got the wristband. I need to go get new rollerblades because I got mad and ruined mine. Working on fixing my bat (Kyle is sanding it forever and repainting it for me <3333) Then I just have to make the bag. Ahhhh, I hope to have Ramona done this weekend.

Question for you all, who is going to Akicon? Kyle and I and going to be wearing Scott and Ramona, then my friend Ikuy who's staying with us is gonna be making like 2 Kim costumes or something. And then I think Mark may be coming so there's Todd, and maybe Anthony so thats Matthew...and then my friend Mika has a Gideon cosplay planned so he was gonna bring that.

And then there's another group that I'm friends with that for sure has a Scott or Gideon, Ramona, and a Roxy.

But yeah, some of my friends found out about the groups at akicon and they were like OMG WHO DO YOU NEED? And I'm not sure what to tell them atm XD

I might make Envy or something, who would you want to see?) and I need to know.  How many of you would be likely to buy one?  Please don't lie, I need to know for SUPPLYING purposes.  If 5 of you would buy some and then it turns out all of you at the shoot want some, that doesn't leave any for me to sell to non-SP cosplayers... And if all of you say you want some, but then don't buy any, it leaves me with a ton of magnets I don't know I can sell.  SO, FOR SURE, HOW MANY OF YOU WOULD BUY X CHARACTER, IF IT WAS $5 (with like a 3 for $12, 4 for $15 type deal)

Yeah eyeliner is a total must. you should get eyeliner that you can smudge around btw. Isnt his skin tan? If your not that tan maybe you should buy some foundation thats a bit darker so your skin can look a bit more tan on your face.
His eyebrows are also super thick so maybe get a brown brow pencil? Filling in your eyebrows with a brow pencil makes them stand out a lot so that should be good.

ok BRANDS. I would just go cheapo since all of this is a one time use probably. I recommend buying anything from the e.l.f. brand at Target because everything is $1-$3 (WOO) and their stuff is not bad.
Just buy a pencil liner in black.


Also I have some tan foundation and power that I never use....if you want to use it instead of buying extra stuff.

The boots are on the way, the wig needs styled, and patches need to be sewn on the jacket. Borrowing a belt of Nikki's since I don't have time to get one (that's not super expensive) now.

Correct me if I'm wrong but to get a super smudgy effect you can use cream shadow pencils. They're pencils but really soft and apply a lot easier than their harder counterparts. I used them all the time 'cause I don't like the harsh point of a pencil on my skin. [/wimp]

Just my two cents. Might make getting that overdosed Depp eye thing Matthew has going on easier.

Working haaaard. We're almost completely finished with our Scott Pilgrim cosplays. I just need to finish sewing together my purse (Ran out of thread :\) and Kyle needs to finish up his sword (Doing some touch up painting, then it's just sanding down the heart, painting it, attaching it and adding the grip tape.) I'm SOOOOOO excited guys!!!


Oh and Ren is cutting Scott and Ramona's wigs :B I need to practice makeup on my boyfriend and I when we get them cut.

If you have time and can afford more hair dye, I'd buy either an auburn hair dye or some bleach (depending on HOW purple purple actually is) and just redye.  Figure out if your hair needs more brown, or more red, or just to be lighter, and do some work.  Don't use the whole bottle of hair dye, do it gradually until you reach the color you need.  (or just bleach your hair and dye the right color all over this time)
