so apparently i now dont like furries? blame society and school (they do things just like newgrounds) so what is your take on furries? would it be funny to do a raywilliamjohnson ending? yess...

I think furries are awesome, and don't get enough credit at all.

I think furry cons are much better than anime cons, community/attendee-wise.

Yiffers should not be confused with furries. I don't really care about them either, though. What they want to do with that part of their lives is up to them. ._.;;;

I actually like a lot of the non-sexual furry art. I think some of the costumes are really cool. But I don't like the perverted stuff. But, it's unfair to judge the entire furdom community just based on that. I don't want people judging the entire anime community because of hentai.

I've never given it serious thought as to what I think about the furry comunity.
Hey, if they like to dress up as animals, more power to 'em. I mean, it's all cosplay, right?
Not that I get the yiffing and pornography. But I'm sure not all furries are into that sort of thing.

I am a furry and will always be one I have been one for some years I am a jack sparrow cosplayer but when I went to FWA something happened to me that makes me just want to throw in the towel

some things about the furry fandom

A. You make a post saying how you dislike something that happened to you and that it bothers you a lot.

B. A few choice people ignore your request and do it AGAIN anyways to be "funny".

C, It's recorded on video for you to see.

D. You watch the video and are able to pick out several sexually active suits that come in contact with you AND see how many people grab you inappropriately. (the guy was grabbing my crotch)

Thanks for the video Convoy but it's sad to see something I shrugged off at the time from another angle. I love all the sexual rubbing at 0:25 because that's really respectful to do to someone you don't know, right?

without furries many sports team would not have a mascot.

for example. take the bulls.

You can't have a bull as a mascot. (you can... it's just a bad idea at a basketball game)
so you dress someone up ina costume and they act like a bull.
it's actually been in society for a long time. Ie native americans
who would dress as their spirit animals and go journeying for the soul.

I will admit that there is some of the fur kingdom that is wrong or weird.
but all people have weird desires...

OK. As most people know My wife is an anthropomorphic artist. She has been published in a couple of "furry" magazines and also has done work for an online comic called Vicky Fox In short she draws cute animals that stand on two feet and act like people. Such characters have been around for quite some time.. I am sure you have all heard of Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny. Anyway, these characters by all definitions of the term are furries. If you want to call my wife a furry because she draws them that is your right. We used to attend Northwest Furfest up in Seattle, before KumoriCon even existed, and ran a table. I can tell you that Furries come in a variety of types just like anime fandom. In anime you have those who like Hentai, yaoi, yuri, loli, cosplay, models, BJD's, manga, Sega games. You get the idea. Just because they may like one of these things, doesn't mean they like all of them. The same is definitely also true about Furries. Not all furries wear Mascot costumes. Not all furries are sexual deviants either. I will state that there does tend to be a lot of sexual freedom, but not any more than our own yuri and yaoi crowd. What they do in the privacy of their hotel room is their business. Also, my daughter is the Silver the Hedgehog Mascot that people saw two years ago. My wife did a lot of networking with old contacts in the "furry" community to get help on making that costume. All of this said. They aren't that different, and if you see a girl running around in her neko mimi and neko shippo, well you might have just seen a furry!

I am also curious about what people think about some of the "furry" anime out there. Utawarerumono is definitely a furry style anime. Shows with anthropomorphic characters in them are becoming rather common now. Spice & Wolf can also be arguably a furry show as well as InuYasha. There are quite a few more, but those are a few of the bigger names. If the main characters run around with animal ears and tails, does that make them furries? How many can you name?

Yes folks I am a furry.
I been going to Kumoricon for the last few years. I was the guy with the large Hello Kitty Plush. As many has put it furries are just fans of anthropomorphic cartoons nothing more and noting less. sadly there are many mis informed individuals like cloud-9. They are the ones that come up making goggle posting making Goggle a very inaccurate source of information.
As for sexuality the level is the same at Kumoricon (anime) as with Orycon (Science Fiction) as it Rainfurrest (Furry). As for the number of costumers, I see at Rainfurrest there are about 1.5 costumer out of every attendee, where my count at Kumoricon there are 2 cosplayer for every thee attendees.

So, while at Anime Evolution, there was a panel there for Furry fans. This part I heard from two of the people running the panel (well, technically one, since the other one was in the best furry costume I've ever seen). One of the con's staffers was screaming something like, "Alright, let's make a line for those of you who are Yiffy's!" or something. Personally, I had never heard this term before (at least I don't think I have). I can understand that some people are into that sort of thing, (which I don't understand), but most Furries are not like that. The con's board of directors said that they'd talk to their employees about it not being okay what happened.
