Hi! My name is Zach and I am a 2 year cosplayer. I recently watched the show "Elfen Lied" and want to do a cosplay from it. As much as I want to do one from it, I am a 13 year old boy and don't think i'm ready to crossplay. All the male characters are not actual diclonius (look it up), so it leaves me to either make my own character or end up crossplyaing. Any ideas?

There's actually a male diclonius in the show, the teacher guy at the college.

The problem with these kind of animes is there's really only two characters that are even recognizable (Lucy and Nana). Though you could still cosplay as one of the normal male characters.

Being a 13 year old boy, convincing crossplay should be easier for you. The more manly-looking you get, the harder it'll be. Which isn't to say older guys can't do good crossplay, it just takes more work to be convincing.

Not at all! As long as you do the costume well and make it obvious that you've done what you can to pull of the crossplay well, people will take you seriously.
People take good FtoM crossplayers seriously, no reason why they shouldn't do the same for a well-done MtoF.

Zash my boy...you still have all the "baby-faced" features that would help you pull off a great crossplay a lot easier than I would ever be able to lol. I say give it all you got...I know you could pull it off! Do it now before you start getting all hairy faced & such like me >.>

seeing your such a young age you could try doing the little kid version of lucy/nyu and if you could get your hands on a wheel chair you could be... whats-his name-.... karama? his actualy daughter...

Jess & I just started watching this anime last night...I think it will be awsome to see you go as Nana. Jess is talking about making a Lucy herself...she loves the outfit with the green hat thingy
