Hello All,

I'm a semi-pro photographer looking to expand my portfolio. As such I need people willing to model for me. This is an unpaid position, but will still need a model release. If you are under 18, it will need parents permissions in addition to your own.

As this is unpaid, the model release will be modified to give the model full copyrights to all photos. I will in turn retain the right to use photos for my portfolio only and will not be using them for any other commercial purposes.

I have worked with professional and amateur models before, but due to variety of reasons I am not able to use those photos for my portfolio. I can also do some photo retouching, having taught people how to do so in the previous jobs.

I am extremely familiar with Anime, having been watching it since the days that the only way to get it was directly from Japan, or via an Anime Club. I have attended Kumoricon in the past, and plan on doing so this year.

I'm willing to travel to a certain extent, I live in the Portland area, but can go to Seattle, Eugene, the Coast and parts east if need be. Outside of PDX, I'll probably need help with locations though.

You going to Sakuracon? I have several photographers lined up for cosplay photoshoots, but one more never hurt :3

Otherwise I would definitely love to do a photoshoot on the UO campus here in Eugene, but not until this summer D:

Out of curiosity, why are you thinking you want to start doing cosplay?

I would do one, as I have never had a shoot taken, and I'm just finishing up a few of my cosplays :3

LtCommanderRichie - Summer works for me, if you're still interested at that time.

soundninja12 - I'm a geek. I like taking pictures of others being geeky. From a portfolio standpoint, having a wide variety of subjects and situations give clients a good idea of what your skills are and helps get the gig. Since I'm starting to freelance, this is becoming increasingly important.

chelseahavoc - what part of Southern Oregon? I might be able to justify a trip depending on location.

For those in Central Oregon, I can probably swing something to Bend. Even Medford might be a possibility. One of my other hobbies is Ghost Towns and both areas are filled with 'em.

If you're going to be at Kumoricon, and have time that Sunday, I'm sure my cosplay group would be more than willing to do a photoshoot! I'll have to talk to them, but I'm sure they'll be cool with it. There'll be 7 or 8 of us there.

Monday or Tuesday from 8am - 11am, or 4:30pm to 6:30pm, Thursday Morning from 8 am to 1pm and Sunday 8am to 2pm.

I'm scheduled to do Konan-ChanX3 this Sunday, so the next earliest time would be next Monday.

I've been rather lax in following up with people due to having to actually work this week and last, but I'm ready for the next round.

Today's photoshoot went well. Got about 100 good photos.

Zensuke - I might be able to do a weekend Saturday or Sunday in Salem if you wish. What times are you available usually?

So I'm not quite sure where the best place for a photoshoot would be. We have upcoming Cosplays that are going to make their debut at AX, if you're attending. If not, we would gladly like to have a shoot with you sometime in July!

I was trying to make plans with another photographer that I like and sorta know, but he hasn't gotten back to me...So maybe we could do a photoshoot this weekend?

I need to double check when my church's rummage sale is done, and when I'll be done, but probably Saturday will be the best. I really need some good pictures of my Sven cosplay.
Best place would probably be Portland, since Black Cat is mainly set in cities.

I have my Miku Hatsune, Rin kagamine, Panda uta [Vocaloid OC], My akatsuki cloak, Chii, Pikachu[Full body], Pikachu[Gijinka], Female Grimmjow [Almost done...just need the little jacket and jaw piece.]

Im working on my Len kagamine outfit, Glaceon[Gijinka]

But sadly i have blue hair and i dont have any wigs [No money XD] but i only have my 40" Chii wig.
