@Jay I second you on the Cat S*** One. I've been waiting on that for such a looong time.

That and the next Volume of Hellsing Ultimate. I also wouldn't mind if Funimation decided to do a 3rd season of Shin Chan.

I have been hearing good things about Hellsing Ultimate & considering picking it up at S-con or from amazon...it is supposed to be more accurate to the manga series & include the chapters of Hellsing: The Dawn manga. Am I getting my facts right on this?

Other than Hellsing Ultimate, I am looking forward to Durarara & Trigun: Badlands Rumble that is supposed to hit theaters this spring in Japan

Oh good grief. Duh. I guess because I couldn't get through but a few of them, I really never thought much about them. 4 minutes of op and ed credits, and 1 of show. Must be a marketing thing. lol

Maybe I oughtta watch them to see how good a job they do of describing history.

If you're gonna watch it for that, might as well not go any further. If you like history it is good for lulz, but there's not much order to the show and it is not entirely accurate. I love the series to death but I recognize its shortcomings. :D

I guess the thing to look for is the creator's view of history, as opposed to an accurate re-telling.

History is one of the seven fine arts from classical times.

I want see Sherlock Holmes, and Shutter Island, and Star Trek 2. >w>

BUT ANYWAY ANIME

I'm actually really pumped for Fairy Tale. I lovvvve it, because it is super amazing, AND because the creator happens to make Rave Master, an all-time favorite of mine, as well~

I wish 1/2 Prince would be made into an anime....-grumblegrumble-

It isn't the fact that it's a Disney flick that amazes me, it's the fact that Tim Burton is in charge, an ex-Disney animator. Many companies don't even talk to former employees let alone let them spend millions of their dollars.

Aside from Walt himself, how many directors of Disney films can you name?

Oh yeah, Tokyo Majin, had to look that one up. Realized it had been a while but I had seen a few episodes. Yeah, I'd like to finish up that one.

Yes. Hellsing Ultimate is by far Superior to the original Hellsing anime, soo much soo that most don't even consider the original worth watching. And yes its suppost to include chapters of Hellsing: The Dawn, but I havent got around to reading that soo I can't verify what they put in and what they didn't. Either way Hellsing Ultimate is Awesome Possum and you should totally buy it!

Eden of the East!

I just watched the first episode a few days ago and it had a pretty strange introduction episode. It's hard to find online since it got licensed and everything but if I do end up finishing the series and liking it, I might just pick it up on DVD when it comes out. XD

Also, looking forward to watching Spawn: The Animation which is supposed to start studio work this year...just have to pick a studio & a musical score basically. Since the original animated HBO series left you hanging, I hope that this one is more complete.

I wonder if maybe the local video rental outlets will have it, the grocery store seems to have tons of DIRECT TO VIDEO crud available. Just might get lucky. Ya know, it would be way cool if it had Italian subtitles, as the first time I attempted to read my father's copy, his book had direct translations on the facing page Italian/English.

Tonight, I am looking forward to wqatching episode 6 of Omamori Himari. I already watched Eclipse's Kimi ni Todoke episode 19.

Kiss x Sis I hear has become a series, and not just a couple of OVAs. Naughty naughty!

@Catch
I've seen the trailer for the Iron Man anime and it looks sweet.
But if you're wondering why it was made Marvel Studios contacted two famous animation studios, Madhouse and Gonzo, to make anime adaptations of two of their most famous characters Iron Man and Wolverine. And this isn't the first time Marvel had let a Japanese company make an adaptation of one of their heroes, way back in 1978, Marvel let Toei make Tokusatsu (Think Power Rangers) shows of Spider-Man and Captain America, With Spider-Man getting his own show but the Captain America show was revamped into Battle Fever J or one of the first Super Sentai shows, which are known in America as Power Rangers.

@ Public Man

It's not the fact that Marvel let its creation go, but Iron Man, which had an amazing comic book series, awesome movie series, and a good amount of already-made cartooning series, to make an anime? I dunno, I'll watch it for sure, but kind of a weird thing for them to do~

Not to mention I DID NOT SEE IT EARLIER

WHy should it be that weird, Stan Lee has been making manga the past couple of years. See Ultimo in Shounen Jump magazine. And he's started another one, I think.

I doubt he even has anything to do with it, besides handing over rights and getting a percentage. Did the writer of Where the Wild Things Are create the movie? No sir~

But other then that, they're planning to change it. Direct quote:

"The films are supposed to redesign “popular Super Heroes redesigned and repurposed as emerging from the fabric of Japanese culture” and from the teasers you’ll know they are serious about this."
And why should something already good have every source of material? Comic books and movies are perfectly profitable.

Stan Lee came up with the story and consults on Ultimo with Hiroyuki Takei (The mangaka of Shaman King), and once again made the story and acts as a consultant on the new BONES anime Heroman.
