Support local talent, specifically these guys. They were DJs at 101.1 KUFO for several years, until a company by the name of Alpha Broadcasting came to town. They bought several CBS owned local radio stations. After which they promised us that they would keep things local, and other BS. But do you know what they did? They fired ALL of their GOOD talent, and brought in new DJs from out of town; all of which are talentless Shock Jocks.

Now these two stand up gentlemen; these two kings of Portland Geekdom and Mediocrity, are now jobless. However, their podcast still lives on, and that's where you all come in. Not only by subscribing to their podcast via RSS feed or iTunes does it show your support, you will also be bestowed with many lulz in the process. So please, do yourself a favor and become a member of the Church of Mediocrity today. You wont regret it.

*Looks at Tom* -_-

(On Facebook)
Me: Hey Cort. When it comes to converting new members to the Church of Mediocrity, I need to know something. Swords: Yay or nay?

Captain Dirk Sonovabitch Chestington: Swords are always a valid means of conversion. The Christians and Muslims have both used the "convert or die" method of membership building to great success. I mean, sure, eventually that lead to the Crusades, but wouldn't another all out holy war be worth picking up a few new listeners to the podcast? I think so. So, yes to the swords.

>:D

We're not talking about the football team, silly boy. I was mimicing the call of the wild beaver. If you were a member of the Church of Mediocrity, you would already know this.

Warning! This video contains Hitler, Nazis, and LOTS of profanity laced captions and lulz! You have been warned!
Created by the ringleader of www.geekinthecity.com , Aaron Duran, this video conveys the opinions held by many (former) fans of Portland's 101.1 KUFO after Alpha hosed all the DJs back in October of 2009.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBNpb-mkkeY&feature=player_embedded

"All is not well in the People's Republic of Portland. Two of the greatest radio shows of all time were pulled from the airwaves. Leaving the intelligent people of Portland with nothing but canned rock music and brain-dead DJs. Sadly, Hitler had no idea this firing was going down as he planned his first ever trip to the Midnight Movie!"

Aaron Duran (aka "Bridge Burning Man") from Geek in the City Radio and www.geekinthecity.com manages to not burn a bridge while reviewing the first issue in Marvel's new cross over event "The Siege". He only singes a couple support beams. Other topics include: PDX's love affair with the masters of mustache, Selleck and Elliot, Cort's how-to plan to score Norah Jones, Avatar will probably win Best Picture, and a news slate filled with three different flavores of failure, from Harry Reid to Jersey Sexbots, to fighting WOLVES with harsh language.

Listen live @ www.pdx.fm @ 10am, Monday through Friday.

Or download the podcast @ www.cortandfatboy.com or off iTunes.
