Because Neil Patrick Harris is adorable, and the love in his eyes is adorable. And his boyfriend looks so happy, and that's adorable.
I will say that I am far from a yaoi fangirl, but I think that two in love people smiling as big as their face will let them is completely adorable.

I don't even know who that is. His smile looks to me like he's joking around, not "in love." The other guy is grabbing the guy's head with both hands, to kiss his cheek. That's not adorable, it's comical.

I think part of what's going on is a difference in definition more than anything. To me, there is nothing adorable about homosexuality (and I'm including lesbianism in that, too). The reason: adorable=children/child-likeness. This also applies to animals. I don't see that in this pic.

(stupid sister squeased Knuckles to death almost. Although Sonic dies first. I made a grave for him. As for knuckles, he went into the garbage cuz he was such a douche to Sonic.)

Ah, no, I would be afraid of it getting squished or something. It's just not as sturdy as some of my other (more spiky) plants.
