Anyway, I have a choice for props at this point, and can only choose one due to space constraints in my car. I can either make a Rero umbrella, the Earl's sword, or a Road plushie, but if I do the plushie I also get a cane. Opinions?

So, tutorials came through for me. Now I'd just need to find a pumpkin.

I have secured all the stuff I need to get going on this! Including an umbrella that I can convert into a parasol, courtesy of my gramma. Yay for hoarding grammas!

and it turns out, my best friend Birdo is going as an alternate outfit Road rather than Kanda. it'll still look amazing though. XD

Good news everyone! I've started the wire mesh framework for my helmet-mask. It's going surprisingly well, considering I'm just kind of going at it, no pattern or anything. Admittedly, it looks a lot like a silly, silly hat right now, but it's getting there.

random story time, kids! once, me and a bunch of my friends were at my friend Mary's house [she'll be Allen] and we all put on a random hat from her crazy hat box and went to Coldstone for ice cream. XD it was awesome. i think i chose the sparkly, lime green cowboy hat

I heartily approve of sparkly lime green cowboy hats. I think the worst I've done with silly hats was wearing around a chicken hat in the mall for a few hours when I was younger.

Though, my friend did promise to make me a squid hat, so I may soon have the ULTIMATE SILLY HAT.

On a more con-related note: How is everyone doing out there? Has progress been good, or have you run into...problems?

I've got progress pic!

This is (my mom holding) the mask; I've covered the wire frame with masking tape, drawn on a rough version of the mouth and stuff for placement of the 3D features, which I'll start putting on tomorrow. I'm pretty pleased with it, as compared to the last Earl mask I made.

#3: no, i havent really come into some problems yet but i've been more focused on my Raz cosplay because its not nearly as finished as Lavi. i still dont know what i'm going to do for Lavi's hair though. i dont have enough money for a wig so i might just get some 1 day red hair dye and go with that. :/

#3: Maybe if you get the one-day red dye, then the red colored hairspray too, you might be able to get that bright red color you need if you layer the heck out of it.

That's incredible; I LIKES IT A LOT.

So, the schedule is up. Our timeslot for the pre-photoshoot lunch is the same time as the Anime Hunters panel; I don't know if we want to shift up our time by an hour or not, so our shoot is at one and lunch is at noon. Are there any other conflicts either if we stay the same, or shift the schedule forward?

Yeah, the reason I ask about the schedule is because I would like to attend the Anime Hunters panel; but I also don't want to miss our lunch, and I bet several other cosplayers (who may not be on the list, those terrible people

)will want to go to it too, since it really is the only BIG thing in the morning on Saturday.

I like the updates to the first post, though I feel entirely too outnumbered now. I only have a maybe Road! Hopefully, I'll get at least a few more Roads and a Tyki or two at the con itself.

Add my brother on there as the 14th. I'm working on that costume right now, and want to get a few pics of him standing behind various Allens ominously. OMINOUSLY I SAY! MWAHAHA! I think it'll be my emergency backup costume if the Earl's face gets too irritating to wear at any point.
