The producers of Leverage are going to have a Leverage Convention here in Portland.  Sounds like The Governor Hotel is already sold out and they don't even have the full website up yet.  Any other Leverage fans excited about this?

I've actually seen some episodes of Leverage I rather like it. A wronged businessman and con artists conning others who deserve it. It's like I'd say a modern day Robin Hood meets Lovejoy. (Lovejoy by the way was a character from a BBC T.V. program of the same name who conned other con artists for the downtrodden.)

The new season is filmed here in Portland.  The show intends to stay here.  The con will happen around the time season 2 filming resumes :)  I <3 the show.

One of the actors has a band and people have been flying in from all over to see his shows here in PDX, which may be what sparked the idea for ConCon.  I caught him, Christian Kane, 3 times at Dantes.

No way Rathany, are you serious the new season is filmed in Portland? That's awesome!!! It's always nice to see T.V. programs and movies make use of Portland. In my personal opinion Portland could use some more love from the entertainment industry.

Yup.  It was due to a massive Greenlight thingie Portland did.  If Leverage does well here, other shows might follow suit.  Any of the shows since the team moved to 'Boston' are filmed here.

Ran into the filming crew for this while I was at Kumoricon.  Never seen the show though.

Leverage is an awesome show! I've only seen season 1 before it started filming in Portland, but I plan on going to ConCon.

The con is actually being run by a group that runs a giant Star Trek convention in Germany, called Fedcon.  The person is charge has been working cons for 20 years.  I am going to be very interested to see how they run a show ;)

 :o

I was just about to start watching the show because of the great things I heard.
If it's filming here then I kind of HAVE TO!
