Ouran High School Host Club Tea Party
« on: October 13, 2009, 02:31:50 pm »
My daughter, husband and myself attended the Tea Party at a cost of $3 per person but I have to ask... why was it $3?  Was it a donation to a club of some sort?  There was no tea and very little to no interaction with the cosplayers.  The one that finally did come to our table was very cute but she wasn't in character (Kyoya), and seemed a bit confused.  They brought out some "commoner games" (very cute idea, btw), but we had to leave before then for a lunch date.  So... what was the $3 for? ^_^
Crack may be cheaper, but Anime is WAY more addictive...

You attended the first shift, right? I believe I was that Kyouya you are talking about. There were some logistical problems that involved us not having tea, and I was panicking and rushed at the time and trying to get everything sorted out. The $3 was supposed to go towards the hot water for tea. I am very sorry about what happened. I hope you will come next year to our event, in which we'll have learned from our mistakes. :)

Yup, I recognize you from your pic. ^_^  Logistics nightmare, huh?  I'm sorry to hear that, it does happen!  If we go to Kumori-Con we'll definitely attend the tea party again, it's a super-cute idea.
