Ok, I've made a makeshift Tekken Tag Tournament Rule list.

1. All Characters are accepted

2. Matches will consist of best 2 out or 3. So if you win 2 matches, you win the round.

3. Default Health

4. Regular VS Match (Or play Rock Paper Scissors if they wanted 1 on 1 mode)

So far thats it. Can change.

Im sorry no  How can you ban eddy gordo but NOT bad devil/devil jin or ogre.

Thats like saying "I'm going to ban Sagat from SF4 because I don't like getting shot by fireballs"

Nobody is saying you have to go to my tournament. Its only July. Things can change. And have you played Tekken Tag Tournament? Its basically Tekken 3 but as a Tag Team Fighting Style.

Yeah, I know what Tekken Tag is.  I've been playing it since 2000.  But I do not see how Eddy is a "cheap" character.

Its the fighting style. Anyway. I can always bend the rules. I just don't want everybody joining in and using eddy to win the tournament.

If you cant beat someone using Eddy, you probably shouldn't run a tournament.
Any decent player should be able to hand an Eddy

The way I see it is if people pick Eddy, they're going to pick Eddy.  Any player who is familiar with it knows how to combat Eddy.  Sure hes able to combo but some of his moves have such a long after combo frame rate, Eddy pretty much gets punished.  

Its like SF4 and the sagat argument, how many tournaments do you see won by Eddy/Christie players

Devastaton 2009 Tekken 6 (yeah 6 but not much has changed)
Finals were between MadDogJinn (Hworang) and Mr Napps (Bryan Fury)  I don't think I saw any eddy or christie players during the stream

I have no beef against you, I just want to know the reasoning when people say certain characters should get banned.

I mean, the way that I think bans should work is go with the larger tournaments and the characters they ban.  Like Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, Akuma is banned across the board.

But when people say a character is cheap and should be banned or nerfed, I want to know why.

You can blame SF4 for that and all the people who whine saying Sagat is too overpowered because he can tigershot non stop.  The guy has a hit box the size of china.

This Tournament may or may not happen. Depending on wheither or not I can get those days off since I work at GameCrazy over at 82nd in johnson creek over by Fred Meyers and Hollywood Video.
