I was soo excited to hear about this! It will be a wonderful way to start Sunday off! My four friends and I will most definitely be there bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Actually I'm the moogle from last year, my sis was the chocobo but I'm taking it for a whirl this year. Sadly I won't be at the FF photo shoot since I'm doing Girl Genius cosplay that day but you'll see me sunday in my tail feathers!

Super excited guys, please come!! Im going to bring some breakfast snacks ( suggestions welcomed) and it'll be a great time for fellowship and fun and worship..and of course cosplaying Idea's and help Are appreciated

My boyfriend says he might be able to, but he'd need to have a guitar provided as we don't have a way to bring ours up and he'd want to take a look at the sheet music first. ^^ Sorry if he doesn't pan out, but he might be able to do it.

I really hope I can make it! ><. My father is going to make me wear non-cosplay clothes to this even though it's at the con. He says no matter where it is, I should at least look decent to respect God. Which is surprising because he doesn't care for attending church as it is. xD;;

I think your dad has a point, but it sounds like he may be missing the fun for the point (if that makes sense). Yes, the purpose of Cosplay Church is, of course, to worship God, but a key aspect of that is fellowship with other believers (of which cosplay is a main ideal).

It all just comes down to ideas and personal preferences. It is a pretty common notion that one has to get dressed up for church, as if God only sees you if you look nice. I like to do it occasionally, but I know that God sees my heart and knows my spirit, and that is where my respect is, not in my clothing.

Anyway, sorry to rant a little, lol

Im sorry you cant cosplay, but its okay.

its good to honor god and respect your fathers wishes. i personally think that whether you dress up or down god still will love and appreciate and be happy that you just came to church. if he had preferences and only viewed those who honored him by looking nice then alot of people would be ignored in this view of gods eye. what if im a homeless person off the street and just happen to feel led to church..im not gonna have anything nice on. But god will bless me just the same.
But i do understand My parents were the same way when i was younger about dressing nice.

Yup, and that is one of the Ten Commandments that we definitely should not forget about: Honor your father and mother. Even if it is something that may not make sense or you may not completely agree with, do it for the sake of obedience and for upholding God's commands.

Yup, you'll have all weekend to cosplay. Matter of fact, I probably won't even cosplay for this, just a little too early and I'd like to be comfortable for church.

I would love help, i especially need some to play for worship...im not sure if splitting the message/speakers would be a good idea because then we'd have different topics and such but if god has really put it on your heart to share something then you can. I just dont want peoples heads spinning and stuff lol simple and god given is my aime
