It's the game I play whenever I'm introduced to a new girl.  Or, you may know it by its alternative name: pretend to be a far more interesting and exciting person than you actually are.

(I'm joking, of course.. sort of.)

It would be awesome if we had a Forum based apples to apples!
I just got so many ideas for what the cards could be. I wish I had the money to buy the blank sets so I could make a deck. :/

I think one of the forum members here made a con Apples to Apples.  His name escapes me right now.  I know he frequently cosplays as Link.

Crap, can't believe I forgot his name. ;<

I wanna say it's like . . Radien?  ^^;;

I know there is a con version but I want to make a forum version.
With words like Troll and Spam.
And have people like Tom, oslapedo, Nikki, and the other top people that everyone knows.
And then have like...Spoon Castle and stuff like that. Ya know...?

Whenever me and my friends play Apples to Apples, it gets a little out of hand and .. it's not safe for most people to witness. ^^;;

If a forums version is even half as good as that .. yeah, buddy.

But how do we make sure as many people as possible get to play and/or watch?

Reppy, just like with every game, not everyone can play.
It's a lesson you learned in grade school. ;P It's called taking turns. People take turns and wait until it is their turn to play.

It's just like life. You have to take turns.

Twister.... eh... I don't think there will be room. We'll see what rooms get assigned to panels next year.

I suspect that we will be having the panel upstairs at the Hilton. Now that I have the numbers in front of me there's actually a good chance of us having plenty of room!  ;D

Tom, I have a bit of a challenge for you. Well your video on your Youtube Channel which showed the area around the Downtown Hilton was a stroke of genius. And I was wondering when we start to approach the con if you would do something like that for the Hilton and Red Lion. I remember in 2007 everything was great but for the life of me, I could NOT FIND the Quiznos that was advertised around there. So I was wondering if you could possibly do a run through of the area around the lines of what you did for the Portland Downtown Hilton. I think a lot of people including myself would appreciate it. When you get the time of course.

There isn't a Quizno's in downtown Vancouver.  The closest one to the 2011 site would be in the area known as Van Plaza, which is just SW of the Vancouver Mall.  I'm thinking that you're either thinking of KCon '08, which there was a Quizno's nearby, or the case with '07 in which there is a Subway on the other side of Ester Short Park.

To be honest, I thought that there was a small one in the area, too.  However, I looked on google maps, as well as Quizno's website, to confirm this.  I also looked in the latest phone book.  It only had one in Vancouver, the one in Fisher's Landing (the Van Mall one did just re-open recently).

I'm thinking that it may have closed, because I had a feeling that there was one down there.  You know what, reppy?  Since we both live in Vancouver, I think we should look for it, just to make sure!

I am most definitely going to be doing a walkabout/driveabout with my video camera downtown. In fact I plan on recording the drive from the point we cross the I5 bridge so you can all be familiar with the exit and the streets to get to the convention. I also plan to record myself huffing and puffing as I a do a real time walk down the street from the Hilton to the Red Lion. Out of shape Tom is a much better approximation of a tired cosplayer than most other cameramen. Rest assured I will be doing much more research.

This just isn't the place to discuss it. ;)
