Ok so I just found this recently and it says clearly in bold print... "The person they wish to play Light Yagami is none other than Disney's own: Zac Effron"
....

I read something about this from a club I'm in on deviantart, and they said the whole Zac Effron thing was just a rumor, but I really wouldn't know.

I'm just curious, I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, why do you guys think he'd do a bad job? Because from where I stand I've only seen him do great emotion in most of his acting, though I haven't seen a manic side that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Is this judgement based on his acting in HSM/17 Again or is it for another reason?

I honestly can't say if he'll be good or bad, because I refuse to see HSM, and I haven't seen 17 again, but I might just to see how he act's.

That might be it I guess... I liked what he did in HSM 1, but he kinda lost it in HSM 2 and HSM 3. Though, I haven't seen 17 yet, my friends have said that it wasn't very good.....

I personally love HSM. xD The first one is pretty good, after that overall they go downhill but are still decent. I haven't seen 17 Again, YET, but I plan to at some point because it sounds good.~

Personally, I just always thought he was a good actor even if he is generally unpopular aside from his obsessive fans. xD

Wondering if he's a good actor? Watch Hairspray. It isn't High School Musical, and it's just a straight up great movie.

Not that you guys have anything to worry about. That's old news, and I doubt it will ever actually happen.

it's not a bad thing to like HSM, I'm just not one who would be into it, but I do know there are a lot of people who do, and that's good. As for me, I'll skip that movie series and continue on with other one's.

The only reason I can think that it'd get bad publicity for Zac Efron being in it is for petty immaturity. Since it seems most people nowadays have a tendency to judge popular actors negatively for no apparent reason it might become a joke, but I'd still watch it. :'D

ORLY? I didn't read this whole thread but when I saw the Zefron bashing I just had to come to the rescue.

Has anyone seen 17 Again? He's great in that! Just because he's been in Disney movies doesn't mean his acting's sub par, in fact tons of great talent has come from Disney!

If he's actually going to be in DN then I gotta say, I'm excited.
