@Naruchan: I miss them too. :c And it doesn't make it any better remembering that 2008 was my first con and it was Sakuracon. I really wanted to go this year, but because of school and other complications, I couldn't. T.T

Is it this weekend? If so, then I think this is the first time Sakuracon coincides with Easter?
There might be folks with lots of family dinner obligations.

(We didn't do any big family gatherings for Easter
when I grew up - other families may have, though...)

No, it didn't. Sakuracon 2008 was Friday, March 28th through Sunday, March 30th. Easter was on the 23rd of March IIRC.

I thought it did, because my brother, his wife, and their daughter came down for easter and were here the exact days of Sakuracon.
maybe we got the date for easter wrong.
