I know some group's working on one that works. I got a flier for it at Sakuracon. Apparently they've been working on it for 10 years, and so far have only gotten a foot done.

No...what if you hollowed it out and made a house out of it? 8D Because that would be just as freaking sweet.

"Where do you live?" "inside of a gundam?" A funny conversation could come up with this as a lawn ornament as well. "when you turn down that street just look for the giant gundam, you can't miss it." XD

Isn't it the most awesome thing you've ever seen? Heh. :)
But seriously, the thing is awesome. I've been watching it throughout its construction (via websites and YouTube, of course), and I've been extremely impressed with it. All of the work and detail they've put into it... It's simply amazing. The lights, the sounds, the steam, the moving head... just too cool for words!
Yet it's sad to think they're just going to tear it all down once the Gundam Expo is over. That's such a waste... I'm really hoping that they just move it somewhere else-- perhaps to the park that has the Gundam World Exhibit. Or heck, they could give it to me... I'd be more than happy to have it. ;)

I'd love to see this thing in person. I'd like like to go up to it... and cling to its leg. Though I'd probably never leg go and security would have to pry me off... >>

I'm not a big fan of gundam but I think this is just beautiful.
All the details and effects they put into it, I'm breathless o__o
I'd love to see it in person someday! Oh man, wouldn't it be awesome if they built all the other kinds of life sized mechas on different continents AROUND THE WORLD?! Like transformers and POWER RANGER MEGAZORDS?!?!?! holy crap and one day they'll come to life and protect the Earth from an alien invasion and SPACE WAR
