Gijinka (擬人化) is a Japanese word meaning "humanoid", "personification", or "anthropomorphic", although the use of the word outside of Japan has come to be slightly different from the use of the word "anthropomorphic" in the anime/manga/furry/etc communities. Rather than referring to just any animal with human characteristics, a gijinka is most often a fan re-design of an animal-like character from an animation or graphic novel in a human or humanoid form, (ex: a Digimon or Pokémon) or of a humanoid version of the artist's own original animal-like character.

I will 100% be cosplaying Charizard. I couldnt find a good Gijinka pic so I am making one of my own imagination. Im super excited for this one.
Also David (Kalira on the Forums) will most likely also be going as Charizard so we both can go in male and female form. It just seems like a really fun project.
I plan to start on these probably a month from now. Baby is due in 10 days now! And I need some time to lose a bit of weight before I start the costumeing parts but I can start the wings, horns, tail and accessories now. Yay! (Oh and if baby were going he would totally be a charmander, but he wont be going this year.)

I'll add everyone who is for sure to the list now. I agree on the photoshoot, but it would probably be best to wait 'til the con is a little closer to decide on a day and time.
Osalpedo, you said earlier that you'd be doing Poliwrath if your group agreed to it. Does that mean they are going to do Ginjinka too?

Nice, nice. I'm glad to see more people getting into this now. Is there a park somewhere near the new convention area? I was thinking it would be fun to do it in the park across from the doubletree and then realized Kumoricon is not there anymore.

The closest "parks" are about 3 blocks east, then 3 more and you have waterfront park.

I know it's really hard. What helped me what I chose was first my favorite Pokemon (which didn't work out, Alakazams hair is too much for Kcon), my favorite set (like the original 150, gold and silver, etc. I don't know the rest of the games), and materials I already had so I didn't have to spend too much money. Hope that helps you on your decision.

It does help me alot. The funny thing is that my first choice before looking at the pictures was gonna be Persian...but then I looked at the picture and was like, "Aw, hell no." xD Waaaaaaay to much.

I almost wouldn't suggest knee highs for it. It would almost be better to find flats of that color and get some blue thigh highs to go with them. I think the shiny leather and heel would look a little weird.
That is just me though, out of the two of those I would choose the one with the thicker heel, easier to walk in and such.

i agree with boogie pop. that stuff looks like plasticy type fabric so your legs and feet would get really sweaty. but if you absolutly had to i would say the thicker heeled ones. not as dangerous. and sometimes the thin heeled ones can break if used to much. my friends heel broke while she was going down stairs and she had to wear an ankle brace for a week or two.

Wow, this thread has grown since I was last here!
I can't wait for the photoshoot, it'll be so awesome. Kinda sad that we won't be able to have a park right next to the hotel like last time though... Surely there has to be something around, three blocks away isn't so bad, right? And if we went 6 blocks to the Waterfront it could be a photoshoot/lunch event? Pokemon take over Portland!!! =)

Yes! That sounds like tons of fun! I think it should be on a weekend (like Friday or Saturday) fo shizzle if we do it at the end of June or July because I have summer school, or all of August is free for me. I'd be bringing our Teddiursa with me too 8D

You remember the goldeen dress misty wears in the episode of pokemon with the executor?
it's ok if you don't, considering I watched it yesterday.
But I was thinking that I could make that, and just use that ear glue stuff (the stuff you clue elf ears and fake noses on with) and glue a horn to my forehead.
I'm not sure if I will, but that would be fun.
I'll get my friend to draw it considering I have no drawing skills what so ever.
I have a friend who is definitely considering being vulpix, and I think she'd make a great one! Plus if i end up being goldeen then, me being a water pokemon her being a fire, I can kick her tush!

One is going as Blaziken, one eevee, and two undecided.

I've updated the first page. I took off everyone who was undecided since the list was getting big.
Looks like our gathering is going to be pretty big!
I'm thinking that our meet-up during the con should be during the afternoon on either Saturday or Sunday since they are usually the bigger days of con.
Also the park meet-up I'm planning I'm thinking of putting on either during July or August. I'm thinking that August may be better since it's closer to con so it is more likely that people will have their costumes done. Let me know what you guys think!

Yeah, I was stressing out so badly. I decided I would rather look awesome in costume then look like I half assed my costume so I'm just glad I already have a 1/4th of a costume done for Kcon and I'm not going to be trashing my expensive materiel.

Also in other news I bought some bias tape for my Cassandra costume that was the wrong color because it was all I could find at the time. I was about to throw it away and relized that it could be used for the top of Victreebel's dress. Whoo~ less money to spend.

Back in January my friend and I planned to do double Pokemon costumes. So I'm going to be Espeon and she (s/n: Memoryless or Chri) is going to be Umbreon. Also, I'm going as Ho-Oh and she as Lugia. We changed the gijinka costumes a bit to fit her and mine's style, but once we actually get these done, they will be awesome! xD For me, it's going to be basically an all-Pokemon year at K-con. :3 We've been looking for a group for a while who will be at K-con, so now we have it it looks like. Lol.
And if anyone is interested in doing Jolteon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Glaceon, and Leafeon PLEASE let me know! We have a couple prospects, but we really would like it if we could all have a big group of us with similar costumes. :3;;

One of my boyfriends roommates has decided to join us. She hasn't decided what one to be yet but most of the Eevee evolutions were on her list. I'm trying to convince her to be Slugma out of her choices.

We changed the gijinka costumes a bit to fit her and mine's style, but once we actually get these done, they will be awesome! xD For me, it's going to be basically an all-Pokemon year at K-con. :3 We've been looking for a group for a while who will be at K-con, so now we have it it looks like. Lol.
And if anyone is interested in doing Jolteon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Glaceon, and Leafeon PLEASE let me know! We have a couple prospects, but we really would like it if we could all have a big group of us with similar costumes. :3;;

I'd like to talk about the Pre-con get together at Washington Park. I think setting a date as far out as now would help people figure out when they need to have their costumes done.
I'm thinking we should either do it in July or August as I've said before. But I was thinking an exact date to maybe have it on July 11th. Would anyone be against that? Post your other dates in here if you have another idea. After we get the date settled I'll transfer all talk of that into the Plan your own adventure forum and make a thread for it.

So I've decided that Zubat won't fit in my buget, I won't be able to get a wig. And I dont think I can make the wings work out. I'm already making one pair of wings for another cosplay and I think that having these too will stress me out.

I'd say Meowth. Even if your hair is the color of Alakazam's it'd be hard to do the ears with out them looking really bad without a wig.
Meowth is super cute though, Sandshrew is too but one of my buddies decided today he was gonna do Sandshrew. Doubles are all fine and dandy though.
Anyways in that long message basically I'm saying Meowth or Sandshrew for easiness.

In other news I started getting my Victreebel cosplay going. Tofu was talking about wearing our Gijinka costumes at the next Kumoricon pre-reg event that we go to so I'm hoping I can work, work and get it finished.
I got the pattern for the top leaf cut out last night and I'm going to get the ass leaves pattern done tonight. I'm still stuck on how I'm actually going to attach the butt leaves to myself at this point. If I make them light enough I suppose I can just attach them with velcro but I was hoping to put wire in them so I could bend them to any shape that I wanted.

I used a body shaper that worked perfectly for the clouds on my SNJ. I hot glued them on the costume on my dressform, then waited for the glue to dry. I never had a problem with the clouds coming off once.

I would jump in on it but I'm going to be cosplaying from Soul Calibur on Sunday and I'm not going to have a hotel room so getting in and out of costumes as well as storing things would be a little hard. We'll see though.
I'm thinking about altering the Victreebel Gijinka a bit. Instead of just attaching ribbons for the vines in the hair I want to make some vines and have them either attached to my arms in some way so they move around or put wire in them so I can make them go in any direction I want. I will leave that as a "If I have enough time I will do this" thing though.

Waterfront is approximately 6 1/2 blocks away from the hotel and runs along the edge of the Willamette through downtown. I was looking online and there's a strip park (it's like a block by a half a block) three blocks away from the hotel though. So which one would we rather hit people? I guess we could also do a shoot inside the hotel if there is someplace with enough room. I'll have to go check it out sometime I guess.

@Hazuza- You could sew a tail together and put stuffing in it and then put a thick gage wire in the tail so you can bend it around. That's what I'm going to try to do for my Victreebel vines.

I was at the Disney store with some friends and they had some camp rock merchandise on sale. Well ri-chan told me something would be perfect for that cosplay and it was. <3 It was a fake microphone that unzipped at the top to show a compartment inside large enough to hold a marker, money, and some pocky.
^_^ I'm so excited about it. And my mom said I could have a pink shirt she has to use for this. I'm so set now, I just need the hat. <3

While lobbies are generally large they tend to draw a lot of people, we might not be able to meander there too long while waiting for folk to show up? So outside the lobby or right out front of the hotel (note: I do not know the layout of this place, I am guessing) might be better so we do not impede the flow of folk?

Ha ha, longboarding is pretty sweet and not terribly hard compared to skateboarding.
Anyways, I walked past the Marriot (is it the Marriot?) with a couple of my friends the other day and that would be worse then in the lobby. If any of you have walked downtown, you know how bad the sidewalks get sometime, and with people milling in and out of the hotel, that's worse. So maybe the lobby will be a good place. Everywhere else we could meet would be kind of far.

They're pretty fun DooFer. Just remember to practice posing before hand and have a couple different things to do for the photos. I might be able to take some photos of the Pokemon nearing the end of the shoot if anyone wants. I would only be able to do this for 2 or 3 people though.

Barb's "High quality" looks like it was made in a sweat shop, she doesn't backstitch, leaves seams unhemmed, and her props SUUUUUCK
The only way to get anything cool from Barb is if you're Barb, cause she only does the high quality work on her costumes.
I ordered a Chii outfit from her and it came to me looking like I ordered it from a bargain shop. The same thing happened with my friend's Jiraiya, it looked terrible.
I can't stress this point enough, PLEASE for the love of all that is good and holy, don't order from Barb...

@DooFer- This is for Ash right? I can't say I've ever binded myself (well at least) but from what I've read you can wear a sports bra, like a size too small and then wrap yourself with ace bandages. You can look up many different ways on Cosplay.com though in the Crossplay section.

Hello pokeh-people!!! =D So, I thought I had this figured out but now I am in a puzzle again. I am trying to decide which color spots to do for Bulbasaur, as well as find the corresponding Kryolan color.

On the left you see one of the art versions of Bulbasaur and it has green spots, this corresponds for the most part with the kryolan paint G21 - Grass Green. On the right is the version most seen in the anime and video games with more blue-ish spots, the closest kryolan color I've found for it is #090 - Teal.
By majority seen the blue-spots would win, right? But I can't stop looking at the green! There's a lot of teals in my outfit (my short sleeve hoody and possibly my pants will be a lighter blue/teal) so I think a little more of another color would be nice? However, the blue spots are what is seen in the anime and pixels of the games...
So, what do ya'll think looks nicer? Blue or Green?
On a side note, I'm having a hard time finding the right color for the "skin". The closest I've found is #TK2 - Turquoise. I'm looking for a color closer to the one that is the big huge block in the middle of the bulbasaurs. Anyone have some knowledge with the kryolan colors who could point me in a more accurate direction?

Heh, yeah, I don't think I'll be painting all of my skin but my hands/forearms (maybe some other places too?) will be the base color and then I'll have the 'spots' all over; including the traditional placement spots on the forehead.

Note: Cars on Lancaster are EVIL. Freakin' car behind me went in the bike lane and I almost got hit. Thank goodness other cars honked or I wouldn't have known to look behind me - jumped up on the sidewalk but got tripped up on the curb and now my knee feels like mush. XD Better than being hit though. >_>
Moral of the Story - Biking on Lancaster during 5 o'clock traffic SUCKS and green wigs are AWESOME.

I love this wig sooooo much! It's so different from any other wig I have - it's a lot brighter! Oh man, when I stepped out of the bathroom with it on our dog BARKED at me like I was a stranger (who suddenly appeared in the middle of the house). HE DIDN'T RECOGNIZE ME. And then once everyone stopped rolling on the floor in laughter I was able to talk to him and he got soooo confused. Pobre perrito was confused why the weirdo with the super bright hair was talking like Ren who has dark hair. Even as I was petting him he wouldn't look at me, took him a while to get used to it, then I took it off and showed him it wasn't a part of me. >>; I don't think I'll be wearing that wig around the house much, I don't favor getting bitten.

You could also use Ribbon, wire, and felt to make the hair peice. Thats what I was going to do before I changed to mew. : )

Shinies did not appear in R/B/Y because they were made for the Gameboy which had little to no color. The first games to feature them were G/S/C.

Found this pretty cool video, it's a Pokemon documentary! I sure learned a few things from it. =) Like, I knew that Pokemon came from bug collecting and battling but this delves into history I had never heard of! So, thought I'd share. <3

Fleur, for the wings, I'd use yellow or white fabric and dye it. Basically, you cover the parts that you don't want the dye to soak into with hot wax (start with the black dye) then you peel it off once the dye dries. At that point you could just drip the other colors into the spots they belong in, and the black dye will hold them into those spots.
Don't take my word on how to do this at this point, as I just remember it vaguely. I'll see if I can find the book I read about it in if you want to try this method.
A more epic method would be feathers, but that could be very costly, both monetarily and time-wise.
Woah, that is hardcore. The dying sounds really cool, but I've never dyed anything before. I think that I'll stick to felt for now, since I know how to sew that well, but I'll try dying for next time I have an occasion to wear this costume.
I am so tempted to do feathers, but Beautifly doesn't have feathers, I think.
Dying's fun. I've tie-dyed a few shirts, and it's gone well. The last one I did turned out perfect. I haven't gotten around to trying any other dying methods, but we've got books around the the house that explain them pretty thoroughly.
For the feathers, I believe the colors on butterflies' wings are made up of tiny little feather-like hairs, so that's what gave me the idea. Something like this (http://www.featherplace.com/ic/fp/item/DPMN/Plumage-Mallard-2-4-inches.html) is what I was thinking. It would take FOREVER to make but it would look amazing.

(On that note, never use fabric paint on your skin. I used some sparkly stuff because it was space day at camp and I didn't have anything, and it stayed on for two weeks. I think I found one on my arm the other day... Don't do it)

i ordered amphigory wigs, coming in a few weeks, for my wigs i'm using curlers, hair spray,hair wax, and a rattail brush for teasing and spikes.
hair spray works good and so does hair styling wax yup yup

I found some wigs that are short, no bangs, and have some spikage that you could trim down to be the ol' man's.

This wig made me laugh more than anything but it has the same short hair-spiky thing that Oak has going on so I'm just going to throw it out there. I've been trying to think of something fun to do for my third cosplay and *BAM* I realized that this is the perfect time to finally do a Gijinka outfit!!! =]
So I took the wigs I have and looked through the pictures and realized that I could do Leafeon really easily. I already have the base of the wig and a perfect pair of boots, so the rest should be somple enough. I'll post pics after I find a good base dress and start to make some progress. The only small problem is that my wig doesn't really have the flip to it that it should, but money is tight so I'm just gonna deal for now XD
Can't wait to see everyones progress up until Con!!!! =D

@ Dubaby- I've told a couple of my friends this that I got to cosplay Gijinka, you can change anything about the character art you want and you'll still be accurate. These are just fan creations so you can add and take off whatever you want for the characters. I ended up changing on the vine on Victreebels head looked because I liked it on the Pokemon better. Anyways, glad to have you aboard~

It wasn't quite perfect when I put it in the drier, so the ink splattered on the pink part *pouty face*. But it's all ok, because I'll be bleaching it to perfection anyways!
(Yes, the dress is store-bought, and nowhere near perfect, but I think it turned out well)
+ Those are not it's straps. Those are me bra straps, and I will be wearing a strapless when I actually wear this, just didn't feel like changing.

Okay I need you guys' opinion on what to do for the Masquerade.... I have a dress that I think would be PERFECT to use as a sort of formal Leafeon. The only problem is that since it's my old prom dress it's REALLY long, and as cool as it would be to dress as Leafeon for the Masque, I'm afraid that I won't be able to dance well. I have another dress that I can wear instead but if I do then it won't be as a cosplay or anything.
What do you guys think is a better idea? Cool Leafeon formal that is hard to move in, or non-cosplay dress that is easier to dance in?

Lots of people don't cosplay for the Masquerade.
I personally think you should do Leafeon in formal wear. It'd be cute and a lot cooler than just a pretty dress, as an Otaku I thoroughly appreciate original costumes. So my vote is for leafeon formal wear!

I say formal Leafeon as well. The dress it really pretty, I would have loved to wear something like that to prom! But I was a cheap ass and bought all my stuff at Ross, haha. The beading is really nice though, if they are leaf shaped that would make your costume more excellent.
Got an email a few moments ago that my fangs arrived in the mail~ I'm so excited!!!! I want to do a make up test and show off my fangs but I have too much homework tonight (4 pages of sketches due by tomorrow!!!! I really need to start managing my time better) Maybe tomorrow though.

Okay, Formal Leafeon it is!!! And yes, the beading is done in a sort of vine detail which is what made me think to use it aside from just the color...
In other news, got my green hair piece, dress, nails, and eyelashes today!!! might try to get a pic up of my outfit so far on the progress boards tomorrow... All I have left is the tail and ears and I'm finished =]

...what exactly would it take to get a partial wig over a bald wig like Commander Charon?
And more on topic for Hayley--I figured out how to do the sunglasses over my regular ones (they're perscription), but only partially. I was thinking of using an orange crinkly see-through plastic, but how do I attach it to my lenses? And if I was to, someday, cosplay Charon (yeah I know but he's the only Galactic I could get away with dressing as), how could I use the same method to get the tiny lens effect, since he's got those little tiny glasses?

Wow. The base dress I origonally bought for my charizard is too big now....I didnt expect to lose so much weight after being pregnant.... o.0 I had to alter it and not its a bit revealing. Im still happy with how its turning out and my wig kicks major butt. I finished the horns today and need to pick up material for the plushy tail and wings tomorrow. Yay!

Bake clay is Much better then air dry in my oppion...Air dry breaks and cracks easyly..and Bake clay is easyer to paint

Thanks for the clay imput guys! I really have never worked with air dry clay so I was skeptical. My horns were made out of orange sculptey clay and I realized I didnt have orange paint so I used nail polish. Now they are shiny and acutally look realisitic. Im going to work on the pokeballs in the next few days
Xo_aria.....Im trying to find a good solution to my Charizard wings too....Im thinking of attempting a simple cardboard design, then molding it with paper mache to give it definition and durability. Then lastly covering it with fleece or flannel fabric with either hot glue or fabric bonding glue... Its going to take a while for the paper mache to set but hopefuly it will turn out

My boyfriend ordered his shirt for Prof. Oak cosplay. We were going to get a wig for him too but we decided against it. His color is almost perfect and I don't think I'm going to get an almost buzzed look on one side of the wig without it being difficult. He's going to grow his hair out until con and I'm going to style it for him. Yay less work!

Ok~ That clears up a lot, cause I was thinking if it was going to be at Washington Park I'd miss the meet-up, cause that's too far away for me to venture away from a convention I paid to be at all weekend.
Only thing I'll leave the con for is a family emergency and a trip to Uwajimaya, which won't even be happening at Kumori. Seeing as the only Uwajimaya is in Beaverton (Though I might consider it if it were a trip to Anzen).

Phew! I had a terrible flashback to when a friend of mine and I tried to go to the Rose Garden (the one with roses, not the one with basketball) and waited for the bus for over half an hour, and then imagined something like 30 of us standing around in costume on that hill, and--yeah.

So I finally got the time to start working on my Leafeon tail again and it's really irritating because the only glue I could find in the house turned out to be kind of a pain in the butt to use....
So I got a couple leaves onto my tail before giving up, my really good glue is at my moms work so I'll be able to get it tomorrow when she gets back in town. Then I'll REALLY be able to finish this cosplay up once and for all!!!

M'kay so not that this matters to like, anyone XD, but Teddiursa was my secret cosplay (I had two but dropped the other one for some personal reasons, it's finished though, hopefully I'll wear it next year.) anyway, Teddiursa is either done or almost done (I have to check with the friend helping me with my dress, she's awesome). xo_aria~ I don't think that representation looks too plain. And if you are unsure if you would be able to get it done by con why not stick with the simple (note: simple =/= plain) design? That way you don't rush (rushing is baaaad) through anything more intricate/complicated. ^^ And if you do have time then you could add things on or modify it?

Only in the really crappy dub of Legend of Thunder (they handed it off to people who didn't work on Pokemon usually so they wound up having almost 0 continuity). Although in LoT he ACTS like a different person than he did in his episode, and I can't believe it took a dub error to bring that to attention. Writing fail on both sides of the Pacific there.

My first friend is going to be Brock.

Yes, you may add us. I'm going to be Lugia at the photoshoot, I've got a Brock with me, a Manaphy, and my other friend can't decide between her Jirachi or Mew.
And we're doing one for every day. So here's the order if anyone wants to see our costumes at the con:
Precon/Friday before: Mismagius, Brock, Manaphy, and Drifloon - Points if you get why she's being Drifloon that day XD-
First Day/ Saturday: Lugia, Brock, Manaphy, and either Mew or Jirachi.
Second Day/Sunday: Salamence, Brock, Raikou, and either Mew or Jirachi.
Final Day/Monday: Eevee, Brock, Leafeon, and Glaceon.
We're really shy, and it's our first time really wearing so many costumes. I hope to see other people's interpretations around the con! I'm glad there are so many people going as gijinka. I was very scared about feeling alone. :-[

Nightmare-Chan~ Your friend should do Jirachi for the shoot! We have a couple Mews going so it'd be great to get photos of the cutest legendaries together! If only we had a Celebi. That's my opinion, at least. ^^

I was gonna do celebi, but I chose corsola instead. I think it fits me better. My other option was Uxie. I didn't want to do that because I thought that I might be cutting my hair for another costume.

Worked on my Leafeon tail some more today, trying to just work on it a bit at a time otherwise I space out too much and start gluing the leaves badly..... and that's just no good XD. Today was my last day of Summer quarter though so now I'll have more time to actual focus on finishing up all these monotonous deatails... ^_^

xo_aria~ I don't think that representation looks too plain. And if you are unsure if you would be able to get it done by con why not stick with the simple (note: simple =/= plain) design? That way you don't rush (rushing is baaaad) through anything more intricate/complicated. ^^ And if you do have time then you could add things on or modify it?
And I think the design you've shown is cute as is. =)

Updating this weekend with the new Pokemans. I'm also going to be finishing my friends cosplays~ Hopefully I'll still get to go to Kumoricon though, I'm have a family member in the hospital and I might opt out on going to go visit them one last time. Been bugging my sister like crazy to put together a Team Rocket outfit (she's got some pretty awesome stuff that could make her look like some sort of elite agent or something). Unfortunately, she doesn't want to do it for KC (waaah). Badass costume that she's wearing for the first day, anyways - a steampunk version of a character from a doujinshi that she's been working on (named "Julia Tetch"; if anyone recognizes her last name, then you can guess of how interesting my sister's costume will be).

@ Blackjack = Blastoise is cool, but not quite the fisherman buddy sort (unless one of those crazy nuts who go fishing in the open ocean...LOL). Wingull sounds cute, but only if it looks life-size. Hey, if we can't come up with anything better, I may just resort to bringing along "Kyo" (my adorable and truly life-sized Pikachu, who normally wears a goth choker necklace when not being used; that idea might be good, since I could let Ash cosplayers borrow him for pics - he's that awesome).

It is an accessory for another cosplay I am bringing to Kumoricon (hopefully). Fabric paint - the stuff is fun in concept but is sooo weird (and doesn't cover up pen marks apparently *grumble*). Like, for some reason it is kinda... glittery?? I mean, I expected it from the gold but from the brown/tans?? Weeeeird. Maybe the paint having shimmer-powers helps it adhere to the fabric? Haha!

So my lovely little Pokemons. It looks like Saturday has a 60% chance of rain. Knowing Portland, we're probably going to get it. I'm a little worried about where our gathering is taking place now. Waterfront Park doesn't have a ton of trees or anything and the walk there will be longer. I don't want anyone to get soaking wet, so what do you guys say about moving to one of the park blocks? They have a bit more coverage and its not as far.

Kawaii - Aaah Fred Meyer, the store of my childhood where my sister and I would run to the toy aisle only to come back with 5 more little Tony Pokemon figures to beg for... y'know, those small plastic figures that were uber detailed and kickass? I will forever adore my Mew figurine because it shows Mew's ORIGINAL color design - white with pink tips and green/blue eyes. Dudes, those things sell for like, 6 bucks each now, it's crazy! XD
.... I'm so tempted to go to Fred Meyer and look at the pokemon stuff... doesn't help we actually grocery shop there 75% of the time. >>;

It's not a lot of coverage, but it's better then Waterfront. Shorter walking distance as well. We'll see what the weather brings us though. I'll do a "F'off rain" dance for all of us.
And I'm almost done with all the Pokemon costumes I'm making. Sandshrew still needs the ears on his hoodie, and I need to cut some felt for Oaks eyebrows.
Then it's up to other people for the rest of the work. Sandshrew needs to paint lines on the hood part after the ears are attached, Togekiss needs to style his wig today when it comes in and tip it with blue and red, Pidgey needs to make it so her wings attach to her back, and Oak needs to buy a lab coat.
Victreebel is all fixed though. All that I really need to do pertaining to her is to get some different face makeup and buy some fake eyelashes.

The park blocks are probably just as nice as the waterfront, scenery wise, I mean having the fountain would be awesome for water pokemon but the park blocks are still pretty cool. There's also a church there that yer not really supposed to loiter at (but nobody cared when we were all there. ^.^; ) that has a cover over the entrance.

Cosplay Decision Question: Usually whenever I've cosplayed as a female fisherman, I've always worn my Snorlax hat (kind of looks like Ash's league hat, but with a Snorlax and its name adorning it). It's been a joke between me and my family that it's a gift from the 'Snorlax Brand Pokemon Bait' company...LOL. Anyhoo, I'm in a bit of a dilemma because I know that the fishermen wear orange hats, and I happen to have one - so, should I wear it instead of my red & white Snorlax hat, and thus be more authentic?

Sagebell - According to the plushie my sister has and images I've found: Six. Um, as far as attaching? I know Boogie attached her "ass leaves" with like, huge snaps of doom. Or you might wanna try sewing with a curved needle to whatever your outfit is... I know with tails some people use fishing wire to hold them up but for Vulpix you don't neccessarily need to do that, creative interpretation is up for grabs, I think.

I didn't get in as many pictures as some people because I was taking pictures for others, but I still had an awesome time. :)
I'm hoping to do a few more of these cosplays, because they're fairly simple and extremely cute. Though, what isn't when you add animal ears? Or in my case antlers.
