It has been announced that Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will be released in North America on August 31, 2009! It will be released for the Nintendo DS. 3D graphics will be featured in this game, along with single and multiplayer modes.
Anyone as excited as I am? :D

Some sites are stating September 29th now, buuuut nothing official I don't think.
Comes out tomorrow in Japan, or about 10 hours, if anything's open then xD Many pictures and videos have already been leaked, and http://kh2.co.uk/ is flooding with new stuff, even though the in-game vids aren't too high quality yet.

This game is going to be good, because it actually focuses on Organization 13 and show's us more about them... I can't wait... But I need to get a psp so I can play the one I'm really excited about, god I can't wait for Birth by Sleep.

It was originally going to come out at the beginning of September, but then they bumped it to the end of September. This will probably be the last year I get to cosplay as Axel before there are WAY too many Axel cosplayers at the con. ;.; Sad day

ya, he is a pretty popular character, but with more people means more of the same cosplay, but do to re: chain of memory's, and the up coming 365/2 days, there will probably be a large flux of organization characters, except for Vexen, but I see every other member being cosplayed.

I know what you mean, the two that were mentioned are the most ignored out of everyone else, the only other one's I could think of that are somewhat ignored are Xigbar, because of his age and the way he look's, and Luxord... I don't know why, but these two, along with Lexaeus and Vexen are always ignored, probably because their not pretty enough like the rest of the Organization... Someone need's to do a picture on how excluded these four are from the other organization.

same here, that's why I'm going to put some money aside to get it just so I can play it... Because I have only skipped one game, and that's because I don't have a ps2 (curse you re: Chain of Memorys) oh well, I have the originally on my computer, so It's all good.

ya, I've played CoM when it first came out... Flipped out and went to gamestop the night it came out... Played it non stop on the road trip from washington to california... although the card system wasn't my cup of tea, the story was well done... But ya, I haven't played re:CoM yet, but will once I get a ps2 or ps3 again.

Ahh I loved Re CoM, it's pretty b/a though the only braw back I see with it is the difficultys, even on beginer it's pretty damn hard. Though they made leveling a lot easier, they ade the Heartless have stronger cards. They added reaction comands to the battle which made it fun, and Sora can fly and do a barrel roll haha.

nice, that's the one thing I hated was that he couldn't use Dodge Roll in the original KH2, it's as if Nominai decided to remove that little piece of information from him right before allowing him to reawaken, like some sick joke... Because that was a really helpful ability in KH, and then poof, it's gone.

Haha I bet Namine did that just to piss us off haha. I never used dodge roll I mostly jumped and flew out of harms way. I do hope there are reaction comands in 358/3 days as well as Bbs. I loved Riku's dodge roll in Re: CoM he does a backwords handstand flip barrel roll thing

oh, dodge roll was so handy when fighting against enemy's like sephiroth where you can't run, because if you use it correctly, you don't get harmed, you dodge out of the way... But I'm pretty sure they'll be bringing reaction commands to both 365 and Bbs, because the command system is supposed to be the same as kh1 and 2.
I found this sig while reading on a forum, and it's a joke because normally, people do something idiotic to get banned, then they tend to try and make up excuses to become unbanned, which normally tick's off the mod's, so they become permibanned. Because if you notice at the beginning how the kid is laughing, than get's smacked, than he try's to say something, than get's smacked again... That's how it normally happens.

ya, it took me a long time to finally defeat him in the first one, but the reason I couldn't beat him was his stupid move that would take away all but one of my hp, and all my mana, than he'd swoop in and attack me before I had time to react... But I finally beat him after a long, grueling time... But what's scary was my friend was able to beat Sephiroth on his second try in Kingdom Hearts 1.

I'm on my 6th bazillionth time trying to fight him, I have when he summons the fire pillars then vanishes and appears right behind you. That's what kills me usualy

ah, well those fire pillers are actually a great thing for you, because for a small amount of time, that gives you the ability to get your health and mana back, and once he vanishes, use dodge roll, and keep using it for a small amount of time... Also always use Aeroga, that is one of the greatest forms of magic you can muster, because it reduces damage done to you.

Ahhhh makes since now, I try to be macho when I play KH, dunno why, I just do.
Marluxia and I are butting heads, it's pretty funny.

ya, when it come's to certain people, it's better to avoid them and attack once in a while, instead of just going head on, because you'll survive a lot longer... Like the battle against Malefocents dragon, all you have to do is fly over and hang out in the crevice in the wall, and let Goofy and Beast (my group) take care of her, because it keep's you alive for a very long time without you actually having to do anything, and your allies can't really die.

True, though I didn't really have any trouble with Maleficent's dragon, then again I power leveled in the begining of the game

ya, I usually fight her at lvl 45, which make's her so much harder, especially with her fire attacks that make's it really hard to fight her, so that's why I just go to the wall and hang out there... and also it allows you to put down the controller and go do something for a good 20-30 minutes, as long as you keep an eye on what's going on, because she does have those stupid homing fireball things.

Exactly. One of the thing I find really annoying is Donald/Goofy/XParty member tend to follow you or at least try to. Though I did loose them in Twilight Town on top of the synthesis building for a good hour and a half.

well, when it comes to fighting, their the one's that always run off ahead... But what I noticed in Bbs is that your normally solowing the game, at least from what I've seen.

Hmmm interesting. Well, either way.. I'll try to be macho with 358/2 and Bbs. Haha there was one time I played KH1 on proud mode and didn't use and healing except for the save points and when Donald would heal me. I died 665 times it was fun.

Well, I wouldn't be able to buy it anyway, since i put all of my store credit on 358, cause I don't have the money to actually buy it. But I looked into the controls and the L/R triggers are just the camera angles, so I think I can manage.

it is on normal, it's the tutorial at the begining of the first mission, where it tells you how to jump, and there's no way to by-pass the tutorials. Or at least, from what I've checked.

I haven't been able to play with anyone else who has this game, but I have been playing Mission Mode on Solo (multiplayer without the multiple players). Which is nice, considering it's MUCH easier to unlock free items in Mission Mode than in the Hollo-mission challenges.

But I'm stupid and don't completely understand the background. How did Roxas lose all his memories? Is that normal when you join the Orginization? GAH! Vampifangs103 tried to explain it to me when I called her and was freaking out, but I still didn't understand. lol.

The reason Roxas "lost" his memories, was because Riku defeated him, and they stuck him in that false Twilight town which is where you start in the second game. Xion and Roxas were pretty much made up of Sora's memories.

YAY! thank god for open campus, and having lloyd center 5 minutes away from your school! i just bought the game today. i completely forgot about it until i saw a commercial for it on the disney channel. i mostly heard it, but whateves. i am at like, day 26ish. and i really like the game. except my right shoulder button is broken, so i can't use the shortcuts. i need to do da blowing thingy to fix it. it's charging right now so yeah. i only got thorugh a couple of days before i had to go to science class. and i am a little disappointed in the graphics. the chars are a little pixely. like, i could count the amount of pixels in axels hair. and there was this one heartless that took me like, 4 trys. it had strong defense, and a health drainer, and also had about 7 bars of health. ugh.

almost to day 200. Multiplayer mode is also really fun xD I was playing with a group in the hallway during lunch at school. We kept killing eachother.

Square enix did a good job on this game.. But I heard it was very slow paced and repetitive..(Like Theres always the same music all the time)
The graphix is great for a DS..^_^ I was surprised....I just cant wait for KH BBS though

I've beaten storymode, and I need people to play multiplayer with >.< soloing missions is kinda lame.. and boring.. after so long. Plus.. it'd be pretty sweet to play a few missions with Riku, Sora, Mickey, and.. maybe Roxas? Or Donald if the person's good at dodging and spamming magic. >.>

I'm havin problems with Day 171's mission, that damn wall KO's me everytime ㅎ_ㅎ

Yeah, I had a problem with that one too.. your best bet is wait and draw it close to the door, then when the cannon comes out, block shots until only 1 archer is left.. since if you kill them all, they respawn after a certain amount of time.. just leave 1, which isnt nearly as bad.. then beat it down.. I used a combo of magic and melee. The best time to melee is when the battering ram comes out.. and to avoid it, just run back towards the door as much as you can.
It's tough, and takes a while.. but I think right afterwards, you get a rank up and more moogle stuff. Also, your best bet for a weapon is either one with the highest possible strength, or one with decent magic and strength.

None of KH(any of them) are too difficult.. the only real challenge is in the japanese KH2: Final Mix+, with the lingering sentiment optional boss.. who literally has randomized order of attacks.. it NEVER uses the same order of attacks more than once.

That boss your talking about is probably programed on random attack mode. Get what im saying.

Oh no.. trust me.. he's defined as the hardest boss in any KH game.. he's more than 2x harder than Sephiroth in either KH game, and Sephiroth in considered the hardest before him.
And no.. his attacks really are random.. you can battle him 50 times, and you won't see him use the same 5 attacks in row more than 1-3 times, based on the randomness factor. Plus there's the fact that this guy is brutally strong.. at lv99 with over 100 defense, some of his moves can drop you to 1HP with 1 hit.

There is special key words for programing..
What you do when making your own game is to make your own program on the way.
Using special keywords you make that do things.
A key word that Square could have made is Random attack mode but I doubt that.
Random attack mode is just an example.
So..What I was saying was his attacks probably were random.

Well, yeah.. I assumed priorly when you said you figured out how games were programmed, you meant more simply that you figure out attack patterns.
But yes, he was intentionally programmed to be the most difficult boss in any KH game, and to have a completely randomized attack order.

I haven't been playing this game lately either.. but that's more or less, cuz all I have left are lame challenges(I suck at most of them), finishing lvling up, and farming to synth every remaining item i need.

Try lvling up more? Or do some challenges or mission mode stuff to get some sigils or crowns, get bonus stuff, whilst leveling up? A few extra levels, and a few more panel slots could help alot, if you're good with your equipment.
Plus synthesizing a better gear could make it alot easier too. Honestly, your best bet is getting a really high-attack gear, with long ground combo and short air combo, and spam air combos, so every 2 hits is a finisher that does high amounts of damage.

Yeah, that helps.. honestly, at the very beginning, don't attack at all and back up.. wait until the wall gets closer to your side, and once it sticks out it's cannon, block and deflect the cannon balls up to hit the enemies on top.. until there's 1 left(since they respawn only after all of them are killed), then work on the wall.
And as I said, short aerial combo, high str weapon. And basically, sit in the corner right next to the walk to avoid all that attacks, except the rush/charge attack, in which case, get as far from the wall as possible.
This is definitely one of those battles that if you can make yourself patient, and take your time, it's pretty easy.

I'm used to playing games where it's hack 'n slash, KH is kinda like that but it has strategy to it, which I'm fine with, the wall is like the final boss on ffIX, not hard, but not easy either.

Yeah, I'm the same way.. and I had to make myself be patient with some of the battles.. but once I did, the battles became so easy.

Granted I'm impatient, but I really do have a lot of patience, though I'm trying to rush through the game since the DS I'm using is a friends and he wants it back.

I don't think so, it's such a small instalment in the series like CoM was I don't think there would be a need for one.

I haven't played this in a while either.
Though, I've beaten the game and gotten alot of the goodies.. I still need to finish the challenge missions.. but I've got all but the very last reward for mission-mode missions.
I think I'd be more inclined to play if I had other friends locally to play multiplayer with and stuff. Then again, I've even been slacking on pokemon. Although, that might be because I've dedicated myself to eventually resetting all my pokemon games so I can give my trainer persona a new name.

Ahh, my original DS [a hand-me-down from my best friend] has a broken R trigger [supper glued to the DS to keep the top connected with the bottom] . The screen is all acid trip cause Tipper[cat] decided it was a good idea to up-chuk on my DS. and then the 2nd DS I got, from another friend, dosn't turn on, and it's fully charged, like, the light clicks on for half a second, screen goes from black flashes white, then is back to being off. and the 3rd DS is another friends, I'm borrowing it till the end of May.

So, Xion, took her out in one go. Xion wasn't as hard as everyone made her out to be. I mean, 4 battles, it's not that hard. Now, some other Squeenix games's boss battles are a lot tougher than Xion was. [Nick probably arranged my panels in order to make it easier too.] I honestly thought she would have given me a harder time... But really? Did she really give you guys a hard time? I think I took her out in 10 minutes total, but really, she's one of the easiest Boss's I've taken on, I half expected RIKU to take me out..

And I was freaking about it for nothing. Really, try taking on Trance Kuja, and then Necron. Now that fight gave me a headache. Now, a real challange would be Minerva from Crisis Core. She's 100+ one hit k.o.'s I've yet to find ANYONE who can take her down.

Minerva isn't nearly as hard as farming the necessary items/materia to make proper equipment for taking on Minerva.
