So I just got Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (FESD) for the DS and wanted peoples thoughts on it.

Have you played the previous Fire Emblems? They pretty much keep the same type of fighting throughout the series. I hope they never change! From what i've heard they are making this version an upgraded version of the old Fire Emblem that was never released in America (Unless you emulated it). If I had a DS I would have this game and challenge all the Fire Emblem players out there right now. I have all the released american versions except the Wii one =(

I really want to get it. I just don't have the money. I saw it at the store yesterday and almost got it. How is it so far?

Yes it is a remake of an earlier fire emblem relised on the japans super nintendo aka the falcon. the game play is the same and you can either use the stylus or the buttons i have experimented with both and find them both easy to use. it uses both screens durring game play. the map with your units is on the bottom and the info is on top. when you enter a battle it plays on the top screen so you move your head up and down alot but other than that it is worth it.

it is good so far. the story is easy to follow and the art work is good. they put the units into a 3D view when to enter a battle. plus side they have dragons in it to

Do they still have assassins? Jaffar was my favorite FE character in the GBA along with the lords. Matthew was pretty cool too.

idk have not got that far but they put a new class in called freelancer. they can copy an adjacent friendly unit for 5 turns

Marth has counter! It happened in Melee and Brawl! So he must have it in this version too....if only =(

ah fire emblem, how I love thee. I was planning on getting this game when it came out since I'm trying to get a ds. but if anything I'll play it on my friends since I always use hers anyways. Isn't this the one that plays specifically for some of the characters from one of the older games?

Is this game like Fire Emblem and you don't get to travel the map, or is it like Sacred Stones where you can travel wherever you want?

ya i dont think i will get the DSi. ya it has a nice camera and all the bells and whisles but i like to be able to play GBA games on it still

My friend might get a DS and let me borrow it while I go out and but the game! Its been a while since i've done versus. The only time I played versus was with the original GBA Fire Emblem.

I looked at more info on the game and it's starting to look really awesome. like beyond what I thought at first. I badly want to play it now. X3
I don't mind spending money on it even though I don't have a DS. lol
